I mean in total, by the end of this year? Oh, no. She was hot back when, but her sales have gone down each year. Last year, her album only sold 150k. Two years ago, her album "only" sold 700k. I know many Christmas releases have sold more than regular albums, but I cannot picture that happening here. |

Apparently, Sony are expecting 2.5 million world wide sales this year. And the US would be a huge chunk of that.

She should have stuck to releasing holiday albums every last quarter. It was obvious the public was not here for her singing covers of anything else. As much as I enjoyed Someone to Watch Over Me (as well as I Dreamed A Dream & The Gift), I absolutely loathed Standing Ovation. I actually preferred Jackie Evancho's Songs From the Silver Screen over the latter. Regardless, I am glad Susan has returned to her forte. If the promo is done right, she'll be guaranteed another US Platinum.  |

What promo is SuBo doing for the album, aside from the movie? And does the movie include music from the album? The preview didn't indicate that she has a large role, but she gets the "Introducing" billing after the two main stars. |

Now that I've seen some of the promotion coming, HFC should sell 1million + You are exhausting. You can believe what you want, but her huge sales days have come and gone. Yes, this may sell more than her past album, but that really won't take much effort. I don't mean to come across rude, and I own Susan Boyle music and respect her talent. That said, it is obvious less and less people are checking out her releases. |
