This is an amazing song, and probably my favorite lead single from them thus far. It sounds so much different than typical Daughtry, which is probably why I like it so much. I already can't wait for the album.

Oh. My. God.
Different sound for them definitely, but GOD is this instant. PLEASE let them push it to pop as well, and get their foot back in the door there!

I know this is very risky to say of a Daughtry song in 2013, but I think this is a pop smash. It's ridiculously catchy and the synths undercut their typical pop-rock sound that's so out of style right now. It would have a slow climb I'm sure, but I could easily see this ending up top 10 on CHR.

I refuse to this time, but I would love nothing more than to see a return to form for them at the format.

But this one really stands a chance, imo.

Holy crap, it's already #16 on iTunes!!! That's insanely good given their lack of relevance the last several years and the crazy competition right now. Further proof this song is a hit.

If Daughtry wrote this supposedly about strong women, why is she waiting on Superman? Where is her own strength?

I give Chris credit for trying to change up his sound since he will have to or die on current HotAC/Pop radio. Either join in or be left behind. Having said that, the song didn't do much for me. Good luck, though.

Have to add that I find it hilarious that they have a song called 'Waiting for Superman' after touring with 3 Doors Down. The irony of that is not lost on me. Haha.
In all seriousness, it's a change in sound but I think it works.

I am very glad that the band have decided to 'upgrade' their sound to ensure their relevancy in the current Pop Rock/Hot AC musical scene - especially with getting radio play again:). #WaitingforSuperman is definitely a milestone of sorts for them! All my best wishes to them!!!! Here's a live version of the song performed at Winstar World Casino: m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwkctQPpQhY&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DZwkctQPpQhY

I like that he didn't try and do the electronic elements live. But man towards the end, his voice is sounding fried.

I really don't like.
This sure isn't a rock song, not even a rock ballad.
They are trying to completely abandon their sound to chase the current trend that radio likes. I don't think it will work.
It hasn't worked for Sick Puppies, Bon Jovi or Goo Goo Dolls.

Sure its much more rock oriented than this, but its still a drastic change in a poppier direction.

The live version of this is much better. Piano and guitar without all this techno dance crap.
