Well, better way late than ever for getting this chart out. Anyway, Robin Thicke and friends hold onto the top spot for the fifth week in a row with "Blurred Lines". Rick continues to not account for the recent Labor Day weekend off for his "best of" countdown, so it looks like Robin will be credited with one less week at the top that he is entitled to. Rick counted the week off on during the July 4th weekend for weeks at the top though.
Imagine Dragons had their shot at the top and did not make it. Now Anna Kendrick will try to dethrone Robin. More like though it will be Capital Cities or Katy Perry that eventually does so. Speaking of Katy, she enters the top 10 in just two weeks with "Roar", a song living up to its title, by "roaring" three quarters of the way up the chart in the aforementioned two weeks. This should have a long run at the top though first time chart act Lorde may cut Katy's run short.
Another singer that could eventually make her way to the top is Lady Gaga. She returns to the chart this week at #26 with her latest hit "Applause".
