I love this! It's so beautiful. I like the solo version better.

I loved loved loved the original. I was pissed it didn't smash. Don't know how this will do, but fingers crossed.

Great video. Odd that both Maddie & Shia are credited in the video though.

Whaaaat at this getting a release right now? I love love love the song (and everything on 1000 Forms and Fear; would listen to her warble through the phone book tbh), but why release this now?
Did "Burn the Pages" ever go for adds? I thought that song had been bandied around as the follow-up single to "Chandelier" at some point last year.

Nope - just "Chandelier" and "You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile."

The solo version is nice! It'll take some getting used to.
Shia looks great in the video, but the strange interpretive dancing is a bit much at this point.

Yeah, I'm okay hearing this all over radio in 2015, even if it's old to me. I'm not over it. #elasticheart2015

Good question - it (and all the other covers) are from the album booklet, but the album credits don't list who they are, just that Sia did the art direction herself. *sigh*

This song is nice, but I still wish it was "Burn the Pages" anyways, I'm sure I will grow to love it, as Sia is just that great!

on I-Tunes there is a version featuring Diplo and The Weeknd? That's the original from the Catching Fire soundtrack.

I love the song. The controversy probably helps it.
And that girl is amazingly talented

Off the strength of the video (Over 5m 6.5m views already), and sales (solo is sitting just outside of the Top 30 on iTunes and the version w/ The Weeknd is at 178), this should she a pretty healthy adds day next week.
Despite how radio kind of brushed of Chandelier, I think the success so far is a testament to how popular it, especially the video (yes, it is Iconic), actually was with the public.

The video is absolutely destroying it in hits so far. You'd think this was a major hyped release by a Taylor Swift/Katy Perry level star with those huge immediate views. 12m hits in like a day and a half! Couldn't be happier to see lightning seemingly striking twice for her with these viral hits. Now hopefully the song blows up.

The video is definitely going viral thanks to the whole pedophilia thing, but there doesn't seem to be this huge controversy over it. I think people get the creepy vibe but then realize what Sia was trying to do with the video's concept. It's beautifully crafted, although I prefer Chandelier's video. I'm glad she's likely to have a second hit off of the album now.

I'm totally obsessed with the song now, and i hope radio compensates Sia for the unfair treatment of Chandelier

Yeah, let's not forget that Chandelier definitely gave off a bit of a creepy vibe with the whole little girl looking naked thing and acting crazy. Yes this one is unnerving too at first, but I think anyone getting "pedophilia" from it must be borderline a pervert themselves. Because Maddie and Shia never get sexual/erotic with each other in the video. People need to stop always associating skin with sex. Nudity can be natural and artistic, not always sexual. To me it's the intensity and raw emotion that makes it unnerving, not because it feels sexual.

The little "ah eh ooh I won't be"'s always get stuck in my head when I listen to this. They're kind of like Blurred Line's "hey hey hey"'s, except not nearly as annoying.

Sia made an apology regarding the music video: I anticipated some 'pedophilia!!!' cries for this video," she wrote on Twitter. "All I can say is Maddie and Shia are two of the only actors I felt could play these two warring 'Sia' self states." Later, she explained to a Twitter user that LaBeouf and Ziegler were playing the same person. "I apologize to those who feel triggered by 'Elastic Heart.' My intention was to create some emotional content, not to upset anybody," she said, ending her statement with an emoji of "thank you" hands."LinkIMO she didn't even have to apologize and it's called art.

Her apology was a great example of an intelligent response to criticism. She explained her artistic choices and and defended her work, while also acknowledging that it may be triggering to some viewers, showing respect for their reaction. More public figures should learn how to address controversy like this.

I like the video, it reminds me of Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill. I got what she was trying to go for, I didn't view the 'nudity' as sexual.
As for the song, I preferred the original version.

As it was a direct "controversy" about her work, that is how she should have responded.
The song got to top 20 on iTunes. Should see a decent entry on the Hot 100 this week.

I didn't find the video controversial or offensive by any means however I did find it boring. It's basically just Shia and Maddie in a cage for 4 minutes. I wish she would have chose a different aesthetic and not feature Maddie and the same "Chandelier" costume again.
"Chandelier" worked better for me as a video and made the song itself more powerful while I felt like the video for "Elastic Heart" made me like the song less.
