Drake's 'Nothing Was the Same' Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200
By Keith Caulfield, Los Angeles | October 01, 2013 10:16 PM EDT
It's Official: As expected, Drake's "Nothing Was the Same" has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with the second-largest sales week of 2013.
The album, the hip-hop star's third full-length release, sold 658,000 copies in its first week (ending Sunday, Sept. 29) according to Nielsen SoundScan. The only album to sell more copies in a week this year was Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience," when it bowed at No. 1 with 968,000 following its release in March.
The rest of the new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

"Nothing Was the Same" also gives Drake his personal best week ever. His last album, 2011's "Take Care," started at No. 1 with 631,000. His full-length debut, "Thank Me Later," launched with 447,000 at No. 1 in 2010. The year before that, his debut EP, "So Far Gone," bowed and peaked at No. 6 with 73,000.
His debut is impressive, considering the set leaked to the internet a little more than a week before it hit retail. The album reached the Web on Sept. 15 -- well before its Sept. 24 street date. Of course, leaks are commonplace, especially with hip-hop releases.
Drake's arrival with "Nothing Was the Same" is also the biggest week for any rap album since September of 2011, when Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter IV" debuted at No. 1 with 964,000.
Drake, 'Nothing Was The Same': Track-By-Track Review
Since 2010, only seven other albums logged larger weeks than "Nothing Was the Same's" debut. Timberlake's "20/20" was one of them, obviously. Before that, in 2012, Taylor Swift's "Red" bowed with 1.2 million, while Adele's "21" surged to 730,000 in the week after her sweep at the Grammy Awards. In 2011, the previously mentioned Lil Wayne debuted, as did Lady Gaga with "Born This Way" (1.1 million). And, in 2010, Swift's "Speak Now" and Eminem's "Recovery" both started big: with 1 million and 741,000, respectively, in their first weeks.
Drake's new album has already earned a pair of top 10 hits on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart: lead cut "Started From the Bottom" (peaking at No. 2) and "Hold On, We're Going Home" (No. 3). Last week, the set's "Wu-Tang Forever" reached No. 13 on the tally.

Early chartwatch. Many of the figures are from 'industry projections' (in other words - HITS)
Week Ending Sept. 29, 2013. Albums: Drake, Cher Set Records
Paul Grein 1 hour ago Chart Watch MusicArts & Entertainment . .Don’t tell Kanye West, but Drake's new album, Nothing Was The Same, sold slightly more than twice as many copies as West's Yeezus sold (327K) when it debuted in June. Drake's 658K opening constitutes the fattest one-week total for a hip-hop album since Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV sold 964K in its first week in September 2011. That puts Drake's album ahead of not only Yeezus, but also Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail (528K).
Among all 2013 albums, Nothing Was The Same trails only Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience, which sold 968K copies when it debuted in March.
.Nothing Was The Same sold even more copies this week than Drake's last album, Take Care, which bowed with sales of 631K in November 2011 (when it was boosted by Thanksgiving sales). Drake is one of only two artists who have released two albums since January 2010 that got off to 500K+ starts. The other is Taylor Swift, who towers over everybody with her fast starts for Speak Now (1,047,000) and Red (1,208,000).
This is Drake's third album in a row to enter The Billboard 200 at #1. It follows Thank Me Later and Take Care.
.Drake, who will turn 27 on Oct. 24, was born in Toronto. Only one other Canadian artist has ever sold more copies of an album in one week than Drake did this week. That's Shania Twain, whose 2002 album Up! opened with sales of 874K copies.
Nothing Was The Same is the fourth album so far this year to sell more than 500K copies in its first week. It follows the aforementioned Timberlake and Jay Z albums and Luke Bryan's Crash My Party (528K). This is the first year since 2007 that four albums debuted with sales of 500K in the first nine months of the year.
.Nothing Was The Same is also #1 on Top Digital Albums. It has a shot at setting a new one-week digital sales record for a hip-hop album. That record is currently held by Tha Carter IV, which sold 362K digital copies in its first week.
Drake's new album enters the U.K.'s Official Albums Chart at #2. That's Drake's highest ranking to date in the U.K.
To My Readers: Billboard.com posted Drake's first-week sales tally early, which allowed me to get this news to you early. All the rest of the sales tallies and chart rankings in this report are based on industry projections (which are usually close to the final results). I'll update every last one of them when Nielsen SoundScan publishes the official rankings on Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. P.S.T.
.Kings of Leon’s sixth studio album, Mechanical Bull, debuts at #2. It’s the band’s second album in a row to debut at #2. Mechanical Bull enters the U.K.'s Official Albums Chart at #1. It's the band's fourth #1 in the U.K., following Because Of The Times, Only By The Night and Come Around Sundown. The Nashville-based rock band has yet to land a #1 in its home country. Incidentally, previous top 10 albums with the word "bull" in their titles include Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass' The Lonely Bull (#10 in 1966) and Cat Stevens' Catch Bull At Four (#1 in 1972). And that's no bull.
.Cher’s Closer To The Truth debuts at #3. It's her highest-charting solo album ever, surpassing Believe and The Very Best Of Cher, both of which peaked at #4. Sonny & Cher had one higher-charting album, Look At Us, which spent eight weeks at #2 in September and October 1965. (It spent that entire time behind the Beatles' Help! soundtrack.)
This gives Cher top five albums spanning just over 48 years. (Look At Us moved into the top five on Sept. 4, 1965.) That sets a new record for a female artist. Barbra Streisand's top five albums span just under 48 years, from The Second Barbra Streisand Album in October 1963 to What Matters Most in September 2011.
.(Streisand still holds the record for the longest span of top 10 albums. Hers span more than 49 years, from The Barbra Streisand Album in July 1963 to Release Me in October 2012.)
Closer To The Truth is Cher's first studio album since Living Proof , which was released in the U.S. in March 2002. That's the longest gap between studio albums in Cher's long career.
Cher hasn't appeared on the Hot 100 since May 2002, when "Song For The Lonely" wound up a six-week stay. That's her longest absence from the chart since she began her career. Her previous longest shut-out was a little more than eight years, between "Hell On Wheels" in October 1979 and "I Found Someone" in November 1987. Will Cher's new "I Hope You Find It" end that shut-out? Place your bets.
.Elton John’s 31st studio album, The Diving Board, debuts at #4. It’s his 18th top 10 album. He's one of only 10 artists in chart history to have amassed 18 or more top 10 albums. The only other male artists to have done so are Frank Sinatra (39), Elvis Presley (27), Bob Dylan (20), Paul McCartney (18) and George Strait (18).
The Diving Board is Elton's second top 10 album in a little less than three years. The Union, a collabo with Leon Russell, reached #3 in October 2010. This marks the first time that Elton has had two top 10 albums within a three-year period since his 1971-1976 heyday.
.Elton sang "Home Again," a song from the album, on the Emmys on Sept. 22. Will the song crack the Hot 100? It would be Elton's first Hot 100 entry since July 2000, when "Someday Out Of The Blue (Theme From El Dorado)" wound up a 15-week stay. Again, place your bets.
This marks the first time that Cher and Elton have each had albums in the top 10 at the same time. Elton was a guest on a rather famous Cher TV special on Feb. 12, 1975. They performed "Bennie And The Jets" together. (Bette Midler and Flip Wilson were also guests on the show, which aired back when network TV specials constituted event television.)
.Luke Bryan's Crash My Party rebounds from #6 to #5. In addition, it returns to #1 on Top Country Albums. This is its fifth week on top. That ties Blake Shelton's Based On A True Story… for the most weeks at #1 so far this year for an album by a male solo artist. Next week, it will become the sixth album to sell 1 million copies in 2013.
Dream Theater's Dream Theater debuts at #7. It's the "progressive metal" band's 12th studio album; its third in a row to debut in the top 10.
.Metallica's Metallica: Through The Never debuts at #10. It's the band's ninth top 10 album. The band first cracked the top 10 in October 1988 with …And Justice For All. The new album is the soundtrack to the band's IMAX concert feature film of the same name. ("Through The Never" is the title of a song on the band's 1991 album Metallica, which is the best-selling album since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking U.S. music sales in 1991.) Metallica: Through The Never enters Top Soundtracks at #1, displacing Teen Beach Movie. It's the first soundtrack from a rock band's movie to top that chart since Pearl Jam Twenty in September 2011.
.Lorde's "Royals" jumped to #1 on Hot Digital Songs last week, narrowly edging out Katy Perry's "Roar" and Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball." What will happen this week and what will it mean to the songs' rankings on the Hot 100? You'll find out later today when we post Chart Watch: Songs.
Here’s the low-down on this week’s top 10 albums.
The Top Five: Drake's Nothing Was The Same debuts at #1 (658K). It's his fourth top 10 album or EP… Kings of Leon’s Mechanical Bull debuts at #2 (115K). It's the group's third top 10 album…Cher’s Closer To The Truth debuts at #3 (62K). It's her fifth top 10 album (counting one with Sonny & Cher)… Elton John’s The Diving Board debuts at #4 (48K). It’s his 18th top 10 album…Luke Bryan's Crash My Party rebounds from #6 to #5 in its seventh week (36K). It has been in the top 10 the entire time.
The Second Five: Jack Johnson's From Here To Now To You drops from #1 to #6 in its second week (33K)…Dream Theater’s Dream Theater debuts at #7 (31K). It’s the group’s third top 10 album…Krewella's Get Wet debuts at #8 (26K). It's the dance music trio's first top 10 album…Justin Moore’s Off The Beaten Path drops from #2 to #9 in its second week (25K)… Metallica's Metallica: Through The Never debuts at #10 (25K). It's the band's ninth top 10 album.
Seven albums drop out of the top 10 this week. Chris Young's A.M. drops from #3 to #19. MMG: Self Made 3 drops from #4 to #23. Avicii's True drops from #5 to #13. 2 Chainz's B.O.A.T.S. 2# METIME drops from #7 to #17. Keith Urban's Fuse drops from #8 to #14. The Weeknd's Kiss Land drops from #9 to #21. Billy Currington’s We Are Tonight dives from #10 to #45.
.Sting’s The Last Ship debuts at #11. It's Sting's first studio album to miss the top 10 since Songs From The Labyrinth in 2006. And that was a special case: a classical album of music by composer John Dowland. This is Sting's first full-length album of original material to fall short of the top 10 since The Police's sophomore album Reggatta de Blanc in 1979. Ouch.
Alan Jackson’s The Bluegrass Album debuts at #12. Patty Loveless and Ricky Skaggs have previously charted with albums with the word "bluegrass" in their titles…Chvrches' The Bones Of What You Believe debuts at #15. This is the debut album by the Scottish synth-pop trio…Sammy Hagar's Sammy Hagar & Friends debuts at #22. Hagar first charted in May 1974 as a member of Montrose.
Imagine Dragons' Night Visions tops the 1 million mark in digital sales this week. It's only the seventh album in digital history to sell 1 million digital copies. It's the third debut album to achieve this feat, following Mumford & Sons' Sigh No More (1,654,000) and Lady Gaga's The Fame (1,075,000).
.Glee Cast's Glee Sings The Beatles debuts at #36. It's the first full-length Glee album devoted to the music of one artist. Two Glee EPs were devoted to the music of one artist: Glee: The Music, The Power Of Madonna, which hit #1 in April 2010, and Britney 2.0, which hit #43 in September 2012.
What was the first "tribute album" to the Beatles to make The Billboard 200? The Hollyridge Strings' The Beatles Song Book, which charted in June 1964. Two more charted the same week in September 1964: The Chipmunks with David Seville's The Chipmunks Sing The Beatles' Hits and Beatles' producer George Martin's Off The Beatle Track.
Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2 was #1 at the box-office over the weekend.
.. View gallery .Coming Attractions: Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2 will debut at #1 next week with first-week sales in the 325K range. Lorde's debut album, Pure Heroine, will open at #2 or #3 with sales around 115K. Also due: HAIM's Days Are Gone (about 20K), Tyler Farr's Redneck Crazy (15K) and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts' Unvarnished (10K).

www.billboard.com/articles/news/5740754/drake-leads-debut-filled-top-four-on-billboard-200Drake Leads Debut-Filled Top Four On Billboard 200By Keith Caulfield, L.A. | October 02, 2013 The Billboard 200's top four albums are all debuts this week, led by Drake's "Nothing Was the Same," which launches at No. 1 with 658,000 sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Last Friday, industry sources forecast that the set would start with around 660,000-670,000. As reported last night (Oct. 1), "Nothing Was the Same" tallies the second-largest sales week of 2013. The only album to sell more this year (so far) is Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience," when it bowed at No. 1 with 968,000 following its release in March. "Nothing Was the Same" — Drake's third No. 1 album — also marks his personal best sales week. His last album, 2011's "Take Care," started at No. 1 with 631,000. His full-length debut, "Thank Me Later," launched at No. 1 with 447,000 in 2010. The year before that, his debut EP, "So Far Gone," bowed and peaked at No. 6 with sales of 73,000 copies. This week marks the fourth week in a row that the Billboard 200's top three albums are debuts. It’s the first time that that’s happened in a year. It last occurred on the four charts dated Sept. 22, 2012, through Oct. 13, 2012. Coming in at No. 2 this week is Kings of Leon's "Mechanical Bull," selling 110,000. It marks the band's third top 10 album, following 2010's "Come Around Sundown" (No. 2 debut and peak with 184,000) and 2008's "Only by the Night" (a No. 5 debut with 74,000 that later peaked at No. 4). At No. 3, Cher's notches her highest debut ever — and highest-charting solo album — as her new set "Closer to the Truth" bows with 63,000 sold. It’s her first album since 2002's "Living Proof." Until this week, Cher had never gone higher than No. 4 with her solo albums, reaching that peak with both "Believe" in 1999 and "The Very Best of Cher" in 2003. As one-half of Sonny & Cher, she only went higher once, with 1965's No. 2-peaking "Look at Us." It was stuck in the runner-up slot for eight weeks behind the Beatles' "Help!" Right behind Cher is another entertainment icon that has been charting for decades: Elton John. His new studio album, "The Diving Board," jumps in with a debut at No. 4 with 47,000 sold. It’s his 18th top 10 album. Last week's No. 1 album, Jack Johnson's "From Here to Now to You," falls to No. 5 with 37,000 (down 69% in its second week). Luke Bryan's "Crash My Party" holds at No. 6, selling 36,000 (down 24%). Next up: We have three more debuts at Nos. 7, 8 and 9. Progressive rock band Dream Theater logs its third consecutive top 10 album as its new self-titled set opens at No. 7 with 34,000. It follows 2011's "A Dramatic Turn of Events" (No. 8 debut and peak with 36,000) and 2009's "Black Clouds & Silver Linings" (No. 6 debut/peak with 40,000). Dance trio Krewella arrives at No. 8 with its debut set, "Get Wet," selling 27,000. The act has notched two songs on the Billboard Hot 100 thus far: "Alive" (No. 32 peak) and "Live For the Night" (No. 100). Metallica is back in the top 10 for the first time since 2008, as its new live album/soundtrack to the movie "Metallica: Through the Never" bows at No. 9 with 26,000. The set is the group's ninth top 10 set overall. The band previously reached the region with "Death Magnetic" (No. 1, 2008), "St. Anger" (No. 1, 2003), "S&M" (No. 2, 1999), "Garage, Inc." (No. 2, 1998), "Reload" (No. 1, 1997), "Load" (No. 1, 1996), "Metallica" (No. 1, 1991) and ". . . And Justice for All" (No. 6, 1988). Closing out the top 10 is Justin Moore's "Off the Beaten Path," which slips 2-10 in its second week, selling 25,000 (down 74%). Over on the Digital Songs chart, Lorde's "Royals" is steady at No. 1, selling 294,000 downloads (down 4%). Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus also hold at Nos. 2 and 3 with "Roar" and "Wrecking Ball," respectively. The songs sold 239,000 (down 21%) and 221,000 (down 27%). Avicii's "Wake Me Up!" rises one rung to No. 4 with 182,000 (down 4%), and Eminem's "Berzerk" climbs 9-5 with 134,000 (though it's down by 9%). Lady Gaga's "Applause" rises a spot to No. 6 with 133,000 (down 17%), and Jay Z's "Holy Grail," featuring Timberlake, rises 10-7 with 123,000 (down 8%). Perry's "Dark Horse," featuring Juicy J, drops 4-8 in its second week, selling 104,000 (down 46%). Drake earns the chart's highest debut, bowing at No. 9 with "All Me," which sold 101,000. The song features 2 Chainz and Big Sean. Lana Del Rey & Cedric Gervais' "Summertime Sadness" closes out the top 10, climbing three rungs to No. 10 with 99,000 (down 10%). Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Sept. 29) totaled 5.2 million units, up 13% compared with the sum last week (4.6 million) and down 10% compared with the comparable sales week of 2012 (5.7 million). Year-to-date album sales stand at 205.2 million, down 6% compared with the same total at this point last year (218.4 million). Digital track sales this past week totaled 20.3 million downloads, down 7% compared with last week (21.9 million) and down 12% stacked next to the comparable week of 2012 (23.1 million). Year-to-date track sales are at 974.6 million, down 3% compared to the same total at this point last year (1 billion). Next week's Billboard 200 competes with the same week in 2012 when: Mumford & Sons' "Babel" held at No. 1 for a second week, selling 169,000 (down 72%). Muse's "The 2nd Law" debuted in the runner-up slot, selling 102,000. And... Hip Hop DX: 1. Drake, Nothing Was The Same: 659,000 15. 2 Chainz, B.O.A.T.S. II #MeTime: 17,000 (115,000) 19. Was a full top 20 released that we'd know that mostly all positions 5-20 changed? At least the top 4 remained put. :)

music.yahoo.com/blogs/chart-watch/week-ending-sept-29-2013-albums-drake-cher-022609358.htmlWeek Ending Sept. 29, 2013. Albums: Drake, Cher Set Records Paul Grein October 1, 2013 10:26 PM Chart Watch Don’t tell Kanye West, but Drake's new album, Nothing Was The Same, sold slightly more than twice as many copies as West's Yeezus sold (327K) when it debuted in June. Nothing Was The Same sold even more copies this week than Drake's last album, Take Care, which bowed with sales of 631K in November 2011 (when it was boosted by Thanksgiving sales). Drake, who will turn 27 on Oct. Nothing Was The Same is also #1 on Top Digital Albums. It sold 387K digital copies, which allows it to set a new one-week digital sales record for a hip-hop album. The old record was held by Tha Carter IV, which sold 362K digital copies in its first week. Twelve songs from the album enter Hot Digital Songs this week. Drake has the top six new entries on that chart and eight of the top 10 new entries. Drake's new album enters the U.K.'s Official Albums Chart at #2. That's Drake's highest ranking to date in the U.K. Kings of Leon’s sixth studio album, Mechanical Bull, debuts at #2. Cher’s Closer To The Truth debuts at #3. It's her highest-charting solo album ever, surpassing Believe and The Very Best Of Cher, both of which peaked at #4. Sonny & Cher had one higher-charting album, Look At Us, which spent eight weeks at #2 in September and October 1965. (It spent that entire time behind the Beatles' Help! soundtrack.) This gives Cher top five albums spanning just over 48 years. (Look At Us moved into the top five on Sept. 4, 1965.) That sets a new record for a female artist. Barbra Streisand's top five albums span just under 48 years, from The Second Barbra Streisand Album in October 1963 to What Matters Most in September 2011. (Streisand still holds the record for the longest span of top 10 albums. Hers span more than 49 years, from The Barbra Streisand Album in July 1963 to Release Me in October 2012.) Closer To The Truth is Cher's first studio album since Living Proof , which was released in the U.S. in March 2002. Elton John’s 31st studio album, The Diving Board, debuts at #4. Elton sang "Home Again," a song from the album, on the Emmys on Sept. (Bette Midler and Flip Wilson were also guests on the show, which aired back when network TV specials constituted event television.) Luke Bryan's Crash My Party holds at #6 for the second week. Metallica's Metallica: Through The Never debuts at #9. Lorde's "Royals" holds at #1 for the second week on Hot Digital Songs (294K, the first time since June 2 that the #1 seller has sold fewer than 300K.) Will "Royals" also move up to #1 on the Hot 100, dethroning Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball"? You'll find out later today when we post Chart Watch: Songs. Here’s the low-down on this week’s top 10 albums. The Top Five: Drake's Nothing Was The Same debuts at #1 (658K). It's his fourth top 10 album or EP… Kings of Leon’s Mechanical Bull debuts at #2 (110K). It's the group's third top 10 album…Cher’s Closer To The Truth debuts at #3 (63K). It's her fifth top 10 album (counting one with Sonny & Cher)…Elton John’s The Diving Board debuts at #4 (47K). It’s his 18th top 10 album… Jack Johnson's From Here To Now To You drops from #1 to #5 in its second week (37K). The Second Five: Luke Bryan's Crash My Party holds at #6 for the second week its seventh week (36K). It has been in the top 10 the entire time…Dream Theater’s Dream Theater debuts at #7 (34K). It’s the group’s third top 10 album…Krewella's Get Wet debuts at #8 (27K). It's the dance music trio's first top 10 album… Metallica's Metallica: Through The Never debuts at #9 (26K). It's the band's ninth top 10 album…Justin Moore’s Off The Beaten Path drops from #2 to #10 in its second week (25K). Seven albums drop out of the top 10 this week. Chris Young's A.M. drops from #3 to #18. MMG: Self Made 3 drops from #4 to #19. Avicii's True drops from #5 to #16. 2 Chainz's B.O.A.T.S. 2# METIME drops from #7 to #15. Keith Urban's Fuse drops from #8 to #14. The Weeknd's Kiss Land drops from #9 to #21. Billy Currington’s We Are Tonight dives from #10 to #51. Alan Jackson’s The Bluegrass Album debuts at #11. The title echoes Barbra Streisand's 1985 smash, The Broadway Album. In both cases, superstar artists were reaching back to their roots. Patty Loveless and Ricky Skaggs have previously charted with albums with the word "bluegrass" in their titles. This is Jackson's first studio album to fall short of the top 10 since 2000's When Somebody Loves You, but it's a special project, so let's not make too much of that. Chvrches' The Bones Of What You Believe debuts at #12. This is the debut album by the Scottish synth-pop trio. Sting’s The Last Ship debuts at #13. Ouch. Sammy Hagar's Sammy Hagar & Friends debuts at #23. It's one of two "& Friends" collections on this week's chart. Alabama & Friends, which debuted at #8 four weeks ago, is #101. Hagar first charted in May 1974 as a member of Montrose. Imagine Dragons' Night Visions, which holds at #25 for the second week, tops the 1 million mark in digital sales this week. It's only the seventh album in digital history to sell 1 million digital copies. It's the third debut album to achieve this feat, following Mumford & Sons' Sigh No More (1,656,000) and Lady Gaga's The Fame (1,076,000). Glee Cast's Glee Sings The Beatles debuts at #38. Nirvana's In Utero re-enters the chart at #46 in the wake of the release of a 20th anniversary edition. It enters Top Catalog Albums at #1, displacing Bruno Mars' Doo-Wops & Hooligans. Nirvana's music video, Live & Loud, enters Top Music Videos at #1, displacing Madonna's MDNA World Tour. In Utero was Nirvana's third of three studio albums. It was the trio's follow-up to Nevermind. It's never easy to follow such an iconic album, but In Utero did well. It sold 180K copies in its first week, which allowed it to interrupt Garth Brooks' run at #1 with In Pieces. (Sales to date: 4,258,000.) Just six months after the album was released, Kurt Cobain died of a self-inflicted gunshot. Coming Attractions: Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2 will debut at #1 next week with first-week sales in the 350K range. Lorde's debut album, Pure Heroine, will open at #3 with sales around 105K. Also due: Tyler Farr's Redneck Crazy (24K), HAIM's Days Are Gone (19K), Hillsong Young & Free's We Are Young & Free (12K), Nelly’s M.O. (12K) and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts' Unvarnished (10K).

Taylor Swift had a great era with Red, even though it had a slightly less longevity than Speak Now did, despite the singles of Red performing stronger than Speak Now. Speak Now didn't fall out of the top 75 until it's 77th week.

www.billboard.com/biz/articles/news/5748077/chart-moves-elton-johns-top-five-feat-nirvanas-in-utero-returns-jonChart Moves: Elton John's Top Five Feat, Nirvana's 'In Utero' Returns, 'Jon Stewart' Sends Atoms Flying By Keith Caulfield, Los Angeles | October 04, 2013 9:07 PM EDT This week on the Billboard 200 albums chart, Drake led a party of debuts in the top 10, as his "Nothing Was the Same" started with 658,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. His launch marked the second-largest sales week of the year. Elton John was one of the seven debuts in the top 10 this week, as the Rocket Man collected his 18th top 10 album with the "The Diving Board" at No. 4 (47,000). It follows the 2010 collaboration album with Leon Russell, "The Union,” which debuted and peaked at No. 3. John has now scored back-to-back top five albums for the first time since 1976, when that year's "Blue Moves" (No. 3 peak) followed the live album "Here And There" (No. 4). Outside the top 10 on the Billboard 200 there were a number of movers and shakers. Let's take a look at some of them… -- Sammy Hagar, "Sammy Hagar & Friends" (No. 11): The Red Rocker's new collaborations album debuts at No. 23, marking his highest charting set since 1999's "Red Voodoo" hit No. 22. Among the set's many Friends are Michael Anthony, Chad Smith and Neal Schon, who all feature on a cover of Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus." -- Icona Pop, "This Is…" (No. 36): Despite an inescapable single in "I Love It" (No. 7 peak on the Billboard Hot 100 in May), the pop/dance duo's first full-length album debuts quietly with 12,000 sold at No. 36. "I Love It," meanwhile, sold another 12,000 downloads this week, bringing its cumulative total to 2.6 million. -- The Beatles, "1" (No. 90): The hits album jets back onto the list with with 5,000 (up 165%) -- its best sales week since early July. The rise was fueled by Fox TV's "Glee," which dedicated its fifth season premiere on Sept. 26 to the band's catalog. -- Atoms for Peace, "Amok" (No. 107): The all-star band made its TV debut on "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" on Sept. 26, and the buzz seemingly drove sales of the album to its best week since March. With 4,000 sold, the album was up by 237% and re-enters at No. 107. -- Nirvana, "In Utero" (Nos. 46 and 112): Nirvana's 1993 album, "In Utero," was reissued on Sept. 24 in an array of 20th anniversary deluxe packages, including one that was so expansive, it charts separately at No. 112 (4,000). The rest of the versions -- along with the original album -- are merged together at No. 46 (10,000). -- Countdown Singers, "Monster Mash and Other Terrifying Tunes" (No. 144): With Halloween still weeks away, it seems some consumers are getting their spooky shopping on early this year. This catalog CD-only release from the studio group sells for just $5 at Walmart. It features anonymous singers covering tunes like "Ghostbusters" and "Monster Mash."

Barbara's is just one of those standard "Classic Christmas Album" packages that Sony has been releasing. It's all material that have appeared on her two other Christmas records.
I don't think it will do much - but maybe an appearance on the Billboard 200 will be feasible closer to the holiday.
*EDIT* - Ah, I see that she has a new album releasing on November 19.
