I guess you've never been to Canada. It seems like half of the stations have names.

There's a station called "Sam" in Fayetteville, AR. That probably fits since Wal-Mart, founded by the late Sam Walton, is based in nearby Bentonville. And in the same state, there's Alice in Little Rock as well as Alice in San Francisco.
Isn't there still a "Rosie" in Portland?

Taking a break from Linda Ronstadt for a moment: In other dumb celebrity news, Rosie O'Donnell sued for "Rosie" to change their name. They're now "The Buzz".

Wtf... first names aren't copyrighted! @ Rosie. When they became the Buzz they tweaked their format slightly from Hot AC to Modern AC, I think.

Add another name to the list of stations: Earl FM. It's named after its city of license, Earle, AR.

We've been Jacked in Jackson. Classic hits WTYX went Jack sometime today. So far, the music is OK.

Jack also plays music from the 2000s. As I speak, they're playing "Calling All Angels" by Train.

I suppose we won't be hearing the Dixie Chicks' Goodbye Earl on this station. But 94-7 Jack FM has played the Dixie Chicks' Landslide at least once.
