I heard this on my HotAC station. I don't think it is a smash but it won't cause me to change the station either. At least it's a mature sound for Avril.

#5 on Canadian iTunes. I think that's the highest a single has gone from this album. Holding steady at #30 in America for awhile now. Judging by the video views+sales thus far, if there was a song to spend Epic's non-existent money promoting, it's this one.

Hot AC has been waiting patiently for an Avril single that they could eat up. Finally, they have one.

Good for Epic for finally giving them one. Even though I haven't heard her masterpiece releasing on November 5th, her favorite songs are the one's done with David and Chad so hopefully they get more to eat up.

How well did HTNGU and R&R do? If they put the budget for the stupid R&R video into a track like GYWYL or this, she'd be opening much higher. Her favorite songs from the album are the songs done by David, Chad and herself. I don't know how LA convinced her to go against what she was doing, but it didn't do her any favors.
AC should have been their main focus. Avril is approaching 30, married and hasn't had a pop hit (I don't consider WTH a hit) in years. Why they think people that are 12-18 are going to eat her up when they weren't even listening to albums during her career peak, is beyond me.

Adults know her name, her brand, and if she showed some evolution sonically (like the album supposedly contains), I strongly think that they'd spend $10 and pick up her album. That nostalgia factor is big for a lot of people. Even if they don't like anything she's done in 5 years, they probably own Under My Skin and Let Go. I remember my Aunt who is like wasp of the wasps, saying how much she enjoyed Let Go and her cover of "Imagine" by John Lennon. Adults don't care about relevancy in an artist. If they hear a song and they like it, they like it. If they remember Avril Lavigne that they once bought into, and are shown reason to invest in her again, even better.

As much as people think KillingTime is a pointless troll, he is actually one of the people I'm talking about. He bought into her, her raw talent and is disappointed that she hasn't been able to provide any progression of that since 2004. I'm surprised at how many people hold that same mindset. People saw her as a Jr. Alanis and she let them down with these slew of throwaway pop productions. LA signed her and should have been the first one to guide her album to being what it should be at this point in her career. Who knows, maybe the rest of it is. 13 days and we will see!
