Katy Perry continues to dominate the top of Rick's chart this week as "Roar" spends its third week on top. She probably stays on top for awhile, but her newest competitor Lorde is now making a fast run towards the top as her first hit "Royals" leaps up from #7 to #3. Katy also bookends the chart this week as she pairs up with John Mayer (musically) with their soulful sounding hit "Who You Love", debuting at #40.
It's looking more like Captial Cities will have to settle for #2 with their first hit "Safe And Sound". Sara Bareilles spends her second week at #5 with "Brave", a song many thought influenced Katy's hit "Roar". But Sara may have the last laugh as "Brave" has spent 15 weeks longer on the chart than "Roar" has.
Newcomers American Authors have the week's highest debut at #36 with their debut hit "Best Day Of My Life". Miley Cyrus debuts at #38 with "Wrecking Ball", a song doing well with some help from her recent publicity, good or bad. And Bruno Mars has this week's Sure Shot with his retro sound latest hit "Gorilla", a song that should make a fast move up the chart easily into the top 10.
