I really like the song as well, but not sure if she's really gonna go anywhere. Sony dropped the ball and didn't promote Brad, and with Universal South not being the best of labels either, it will be interesting to see where this goes....if anywhere at all.

I think she's just OK. There wasn't any GREAT talent this year. I'm just glad that the cowboy dude didn't win. He's not much of an artist, in my opinion. There's a guy with a hat in every bar that can sing "The Fireman" who thinks he's the next big thing. The rockabilly kid was alright, but not too great of a singer.
BTW, I thin Universal South is a great label. They're very "For the Artist", which is rare.

I love this song!
XM has been spinning this like crazy... I have heard it three times in the hour or two I have listened over the past 24 hours or so.

I finally just heard it. Thanks for the mp3 link, Seminoles1999.
This is good! It easily deserves more airplay.

This is a great song but her voice sounds really weak. It could have been the reception of my XM but it sounded as if the instuments were way to loud and her voice just dissapears into them. I figured radio would play this for it's first week of release for the novelty of it and then drop it. It looks like I was right.

I am thinking that the possibility is pretty slim. Suprises me, because I thought it was very radio friendly... doesn't surprise me because how many people even know who Erika Jo is... who watched Nashville Star? Not very many.

Nashville Star just doesn't have the fan base to make someone a real Nashville Star. Reading the stuff out of Nashville this week, I don't thin I even heard Erika Jo's name mentioned once. Not good when your album is coming out next week

Other than on Nashville Star and the Opry when she sang this song I haven't heard it on radio. That's too bad - it's a good song.
I think she will do alright with Universal South - look what they've done for George Canyon - and he came in second last year (should have won IMO - he's country whereas Brad was pop)

They haven't done anything for him that I know of. They also didn't do anything for Allison Moorer (who is one of THE best out there), so I'm not a fan of that label.

I hope she does well. I'm liking this song better. Erika Jo seems to automatically be compared to the AI winner to some. That's too bad. But I guess that's what happens when you get a record deal through a contest. It seems to be viewed differently by some than those who go the traditional way. What do you think?

After listening to the album, I think either "Go" or "Strong Tonight" would have been better choices. Some of the lyrics in IBT make me cringe (Rain is wet/The desert is dry...Fire is hot/It's dark at night) .
