No surprise this week as Katy Perry holds onto the top of Rick's chart for the fourth week in a row with "Roar". Not much movement in the top 5 as only Lorde and Capital Cities change places, most likely ending any hope of Capital Cities scoring their first number one hit. The attention now shifts to Lorde as she has a chance to score her first number one at the young age of sixteen. "Royals" has a good chance of unseating "Roar" within the next week or two. Sara Bareilles has an outside shot at the top with "Brave", a song that is now in its 22nd week on the chart, 8 more weeks than "Royals" and "Roar" combined! So we'll see which female solo artist with a one word title owns the top spot next week. :)
Lots of songs tied for the biggest dropper this week of just 5 spots, but one song jumps 6 spots for the week's highest jumper. That would be Avici featuring Aloe Blacc, the biggest jumper for the second time in four weeks with "Wake Me Up". Also, Ed Sheeran scores his second top 10 Hot AC hit with "Everything Has Changed", with Taylor Swift.
Some old Hot AC favorites return to the chart this week with debuts by Daughtry and Five For Fighting. Bruno Mars also enters the chart at #27 with his retro sounding power ballad "Gorilla". And nice to see Rick shake up the Bonus Tracks this week with some songs that haven't been played in awhile.
