NOTES: - This is the second of three American Top 40 shows from Walt Disney World. Unlike the first one, this one doesn't have the advance promos included. Although...looking at them on the cue sheet, there really isn't much to them other than hosting from Disney World (whereas in 90, two of the three focused on current chart happenings).
- In my copy, whoever tried to edit the commercials out of this show did a really bad job of it; they all abruptly cut off after only a few seconds.
- Ludwig Von Drake joins Shadoe right in the show's opening.
- You gotta love it when chart circumstances conspire to cause awkward countdown events...like "People Are Still Having Sex", "I Wanna Sex You Up", "I Touch Myself", and "Touch Me (All Night Long)" all in this week's countdown, plus the first of those is the new #1 song on the Dance chart. And we're at Walt Disney World this week, folks!
- This show seemed to move at a rather fast pace, moving from one song to the next without wasting much time.
- The cue sheet didn't have a mention of a question letter inbetween #31 and #30, asking what the biggest-selling Disney album was. It was the Mary Poppins soundtrack, which sold over 7 million copies.
- All station mentions throughout the show weren't given by Shadoe himself, but instead by different listeners who happened to be at Walt Disney World at the time. They were also scattered individually throughout the show rather than given in once-per-hour batches.
- Unlike last year, Shadoe remembered to plan for the AT40 Wayback Machine this time. ;)
- Roger Rabbit kept pestering Shadoe to read a special LDD from him to his wife Jessica, and even handed him a letter to read. Shadoe began reading this letter, only to find it didn't fit as a LDD - not surprising, given that it was word-for-word a letter Roger had written during Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. So instead, Shadoe read the week's dedication and also said that he'd dedicate it to the two of them. (Irony : The song is from a Don Bluth-animated film.)
- Come to think of it, though, that dedication seems oddly placed right after "Losing My Religion".
- From the "Sign of the Times (no connection to Prince)" Files: Shadoe stated that "Save Some Love" was one of 25 singles this week that were not available as 7-inch vinyl singles, a sign that that format was on its last legs. (Turns out that wasn't true; on 6/1 there was a correction pointing out that the song did have a vinyl release.)
- "No Nuttin' ": #14 and #7.
- "I Wanna Sex You Up", of all songs, received the softer jingle, while "Cry For Help", a much slower-paced song, did not.
- The third hour had a cartoon-sounding closing in place of the usual end-of-hour piece.
- Strangely, half of the first verse of "Baby, Baby" repeated twice before the first chorus. I'm not sure that there is a normal (as in, outside of the show) version of the song that does this.
- Shadoe ended his closing in a different way than usual this week, instead giving a nod to the upcoming holiday by saying, "so long for now and Happy Mother's Day!"
- #1 R&B: "Call Me" by Phil Currie
- #1 Country: "If I Know Me" by George Strait
- #1 Album: Mariah Carey

This was a great time for music! I probably have most of this taped on cassette somewhere.
