Huge start for this one. It's already #33 on R&R / Mediabase with 6.5 million in audience and a bullet of 623.
It was #42 just yesterday and gained 2.5 million in audience overnight.

One big reason for the increase is because the song was featured on After Midnite's "Pick It or Flick It" Sunday evening.
This is a very touching song, though. I'd imagine it will leap into the top 10 rather quickly.

Arlington had a quick rise due to it being Memorial Day weekend. I wouldn't be surprised to see the song drop somewhat the next couple weeks before moving back up.

I'm not a fan of Trace, but this is really good. Probably the best song he's ever done

This is easily among the five best singles of this calendar year, and ranks on my list along with Lee Ann Womack's CD as the best country CD released this year.

It looks like you nailed it, ericny. The song lost it's bullet today now that the spins gained for Memorial Day aren't included in the 7-day totals. The overnight changes were drastic... Spin change since yesterday: -203 Audience change: down 1.9 million Bullet change: from +154 yesterday to -302 today Rank change: #33 to #40 That's as severe a change in direction I've ever seen. It's audience peak was 7.2 million four days ago, and today the audience is at 3 million.

Since 'Songs About Me' is in R&Rs top 5, 'Arlington' isn't likely to start moving upward steadily until next month.
Although some stations have already moved 'Songs About Me' to recurrent, it isn't finished quite yet, even after over FIVE months on the charts.

Shawn Parr of KZLA stated on this mornings countdown show that he wouldn't be surprised if this winds up and as the biggest single of his wonderful career.
It's easily among the VERY best songs on the radio right now, and will hopefully lead to lots of nominations for Mr. Adkins for single, song, and album of the year at next year's CMA & ACM awards.
He certainly deserves it.

I love this song! Trace has been doing some great material lately so I hope this one does land him all those nominations that you allude to Marv. This is such a nicely written song, too. Who wrote it?

I'm listening to this CD AGAIN as I'm wiritng this, but I don't have the case with me. This is an exceptional song from a sensational CD.
Now if ALL of the country radio stations out there would start adding some of the exceptional singles from his first two CDs to their libraries, that would also be WONDERFUL!!!!!

This has cracked R&Rs top 20 after jumping five slots in the new issue.
This is going to get LOTS of nominations at next year's CMA & ACM shows, especially for single, song, and album of the year, as well as best male vocal performance.
It is GREAT to have Mr. Adkins back on the radio; hard to believe that his first CD is also a decade old!!!!
Now if we could just get our hometown stations to start playing scintillating songs such as the extraordinary 'Every Light In The House' and 'The Rest Of Mine', then our radios would all sound MUCH better, wouldn't they????????
