Awesome promo for the album. I know the single will plummet on iTunes as the downloads will not count. However, it means more people hearing the song and possibly being lured to the album.

I have a question. If a song is Single of the Week, will it count towards a "Complete My Album" purchase. Or does it just not apply. I don't think so. The free download of UTT is listed under "Underneath the Tree - Single" so it's not categorized as part of Wrapped in Red. |

Christmas tunes have a hard time on Hot AC. Mariah's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" peaked at #27 (1 week on the then 30 position chart) in 1994, and Train's "Shake Up Christmas" spent 1 week at #40 in 2010. I would think if anyone could do it now, it would be Kelly, but we'll see.

^^ Rod Stewart's track last year peaked with 1319 spins and total AC AI of 9.679. I'm not sure if AC panel sizes have changed in the past year. So far', 'Underneath' has topped the spin peaks of both 2011 and 2012's Top Christmas AC song (and is still gaining) but has not yet reached the peak AI of Rod Stewart, but I fully expect that to happen in the next few days. |

This lost 45 spins today, however, she gained a lot of spins (possibly the 2 biggest gains of the day) with Blue Christmas and Please Come Home for Christmas. I don't know if stations are just tired of UTT or just trying to give her other songs some spins without having too much of her on their playlist. I assume it is the latter, which says to me that UTT won't free fall, as I don't think her other two songs will go a ton higher in spin count at their peak. There is only about a week and a half left of play, anyway.

What else would challenge it? :) It's ahead of No. 2 by 550-plus spins. It will get a fourth week on top, and then drop down the week after (as Christmas is a Wednesday, meaning little to no play for the four days thereafter).
