We're 1 week away from the Christmas invasion and things are beginning to prepare for the move. Katy Perry holds #1 easily this week and the vacuum effect results in the 4th #2 hit in a row for Maroon 5. Will they finally get a chance on top before or after Christmas?

Avicii makes his way into the top 20 with his #1 pop hit "Wake Me Up!" This is the DJ's first top 20 on AC.

Miley Cyrus is one of the most talked about singers right now, and now we'll talk about her latest AC hit. "Wrecking Ball" is this week's highest debut landing at #25. This marks the twerker's 3rd AC hit and her first appearance in 3 years. Her last AC hit was "When I Look At You" which peaked at #18 back in May of 2010.

Imagine Dragons re-enter this week at #27 with "Demons" and score a new peak in the process.

John Legend closes off the chart this week. The Urban AC royal has been around for over a decade, but for the first time this week, he cracks the AC top 30. "All of Me" debuts at #30.

Taylor Swift goes recurrent with "22." There are no new peaks as a direct result.

Debut No. 27 "Sending You A Little Christmas" Johnny Mathis & Jim Brickman
Johnny Mathis and Jim Brickman bow at No. 27 on Adult Contemporary with "Sending You a Little Christmas." The duet is Brickman's 30th AC entry, the most among all acts dating to his first in March 1996. Originally a collaboration with vocalist Kristy Starling, "Sending" topped AC the week of Jan. 3, 2004.

The song marks even more of a landmark visit for Mathis, as he tallies his 50th AC hit (and first since 2003 and just his second of the last 25 years). Mathis first reached the chart in its second year of existence (1962) with the No. 2 hit "Gina." He's collected 12 AC top 10s, including two No. 1s: 1973's "I'm Coming Home" and 1977's "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late," the latter with Deniece Williams.

Mathis is just the fifth act to amass at least 50 AC chart entries. Elton John leads all artists with 69 appearances, followed by Barbra Streisand (64), Neil Diamond (58), Elvis Presley (53) and Barry Manilow, also with 50.
