I like this one and it should make the Top 15, if not higher. Although this song is perfect for summer, I was hoping the label went with 'Amazing Grace' as the next single because I think that is a blockbuster hit waiting to happen.
Hopefully that one will come next.

Great summer song. The album is finally growing on me after about 20 listens. I didn't like it at first but it is getting better. It's still not as good as his other two albums which are always in my cd case and get pretty heavy rotation. American Child was is one of my all time favorite albums. There were at least three more singles that got shunned off of that album.

I think that his debut album is his best by far. The other two are good, but cannot match the debut. Phil at his finest. For the life of me I really can't understand why he isn't a superstar yet.

I think his second album is his best, as well.
I think 'Baby, You're Right' was a smash hit...I can't understand why that was never released. It would have shot straight to #1 without a problem.

My favorite "American Child" cut was the song "Someone You Love". It was written by Phil and Rob Thomas. I remember it being like a combination between Phil's "That's When I Love You" and MB20's "Real World". "Stand Still" - although a little on the AC side - was another good one from that album.
From the first one, I'd have to go with "Lucky As Me". That one was just a fun feel-good tune.
As a fellow Virginia native, I tend to like Phil's music. I like several of the songs he's written for other artists, like "Right On The Money", "I Was" (Neal McCoy), and "For A Little While". My all-time favorite Phil song is the song that became his very first #1 as an artist, "Just Another Day In Paradise".

That would have been my choice. Love, love, love this one.
Although Phil's had some very good songs on all of his albums, I'd say Shaken Not Stirred is my personal favorite, with "Amazing Grace", "Erase", "Nobody Knows Me Like You Do", and "Black and Whites" as the songs I like best.
My favorite on his debut album was easily "Just Another Day in Paradise." Off American Child, the title track, "This is God", and "I Thought I Never Would Forget."

This is my favorite song off Phil's latest album and I hope it does well for him.
