Sleigh Ride is the 1st single from Jewel's 2nd Christmas album "Let It Snow." The song enters the top 50 today at #49. Its the 15th Christmas song to make the top 50 this season.

This should really be sent for adds. Just because it's an indie release it can't go for adds? Only 9 stations are playing it, and these station are cumulus ones which are having a Jewel contest. I'd love to see this song catching on other stations. Look at Leona Lewis, her single was added by 22 stations but has yet to crack Top 50. An adds date would do wonders for Sleigh Ride.

You guys think that now she's on tv, she'll be able to make a good comeback? She has gone completely independent and for an independent artist she's doing really well, I believe. She was able to promote Let It Snow, have some songs on the radio and be on important Christmas events all by herself (and her management), without a label. I doubt we'll ever get a big hit from her, but she's working on a new album already and she said she'll market the singles to country radio. At the best case scenario, I think she could reach Stronger Woman's peak, #13, I think. Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much, because, as a fan, I'm just really glad she's been continuously putting new music out and she's not lost her charm. Lullaby was a great album (and has sold tremendously well - 500.000 copies, according to Jewel herself. All thanks to babies stores!) and Two Hearts Breaking showed promiss for a good full "Jewel" album. She said she expects to release the new album by the middle of the year. |
