For the most part, you were very close, for a lot of songs only 1-5 spot difference. Also, didn't you not start till later in 2013? I have a feeling this year'll be much more on target! I hope so. I need to prove something to the doubters :)

I was wondering, how exactly do you do this? Do you always use the estimates on the first page, and do you track every single Hot 100 song? Finally, where do you get the points?

^It's not as hard as what you're thinking I have an Excel file with 3 sheets that are connected to each other: the first is for the Hot 100 positions , the second is for the point assignment and the third one is the one I'm posting here. I have a second excel file for the points, the top 10 from the Billboard article is very helpful to this. I am also using the top 50 of the three components to estimate the points of songs below top 10, I usually do inverse point to songs below top 25 but there are times when data are available that I can assign close points to the entire top 40. These are the files: Hot 100Song's Points from Components

Thanks so much for this list; I've now purchased all 100 of the current songs and am fully prepared for year-end parties and the DDR pack!
Also, "Best Day of My Life" is now ready for the latter:

It's looking to be an international 2014 year-end tally with lead artists hailing from all around the globe. As expected, American acts dominate with 67 entries, followed by the UK at 15.
But thanks to Iggy, Sia and 5SOS, Australia rakes in 4 titles, while Avicii and Tove bring the total Swedish haul to 3.
Canadians (Magic and Drake) and New Zealander (Lorde) take in 2 entries each for their respective countries.
The other musical forces (1 title each) hail from Colombia (Shakira), France (Dr Snake), Germany (Zedd), Netherlands (Martin), Norway (Nico & Vinz), South Africa (Kongos) and Spain (Enrique.

Won't Dark Horse be higher on the Decade End Chart if you combine it's points it got in September,October and November last year? And how many weeks are there left before the songs will stop getting points?1 week or 2 weeks? Will Unconditionally make the Top 100

it's chart performance was weak and made its run late in the year, and peaking at 33 in only one week despite charting 20 weeks isn't good enough to make the official list I think for the year-end charts they don't include points after a song goes recurrent, so having 20 weeks early in the year or 20 weeks late in the year wouldn't make much difference (it would make a different only if the song late in the year gets part of its chart run cut off into 2015). It is possible for songs that peak in the 30's to make the year-end top 100. Not saying it's certain that No Mediocre will, but it's possible, since I've seen it happen before. For example, last year Bugatti by Ace Hood peaked at #33 in the weekly charts, and got #91 in the year-end chart (I can't remember how long it charted, but I'd imagine it was just 20 weeks).

Capitol Records @capitolrecords on Twitter: Way to go #KatyCats! katyperry is US radio's Artist of the Year with #DarkHorse as the most played song in 2014! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think they are talking about the year end Billboard charts since the chart today is the last one for the Billboard year??

"Happy" will be the #1 song in the year end charts. It was #1 for 10 weeks, spent the same amount of weeks in the Top 10 as DH, spent almost as much weeks in the Hot 100 during the chart year, and was the most downloaded song of 2014. "Dark Horse" will be the runner up, and honestly, I'm pulling for "Happy" to be on top because Pharrell has more artistic credibility than Katy does.

So it's extremely close between Talk Dirty and All About That Bass because AATB got about 43k-45k this week...

All of those massive points Taylor got this week will be counted on the last week of 2014 :( I wish Yahoo just waited for one more week (which means this week) to leak that damn video of Blank Space so its points would be counted in 2015 :(

"Shake" would have been dethroned by "Bass" for one final week, before she recaptured the lead with "Space" the following week. As it is, she's in a very exclusive club of only 10 acts in history (including the Beatles) who have succeeded themselves at the summit. That's a pretty impressive achievement to highlight in your resumé.

Week 52 won't be posted yet. I need Kworb :( Thanks for the work on this, I love reading through! kworbtest.dreamhosters. com is still up, it's the test site. I use it whenever Kworb goes down, it's outdated by a year but the pop bars are always updated.

Daniel Collins Do you have, based on all the data you have, an average weekly point value for each of the top 10 songs in any given week?

josh Average for every position or for every song? I knew that phrasing wouldn't be clear haha. But basically, on any given week, what would the typical (average, I suppose) points be for the #1, #2, #3, ..., and #10 songs?

What date do the year end charts come out? Probably mid/early December. Pretty sure they came out on the like the 13th or something last year, but that chart went longer
