You guys should post them. We can compare predictions. Idk, 3 people posting them per week is kinda an overkill...

I don't want to discourage you guys from posting your predictions, but maybe it'd be less confusing and less messy, from week to week, to do periodic posts possibly every 13 or 26 weeks (so as to make it a quarterly or biannually thing)- something along those lines.

Is there a list for the Hot 100 artist of the year? I imagine I would include Drake, Rihanna, TOP, Chainsmokers, Adele, Selena, Ariana, Charlie Puth, The Weeknd, and Sia in the Top 10

I'll put mine up on the other thread, and George will do it here! I wasn't even gonna post it this week anyway cuz you'd already know the positions, so I'll show you next week!

Question for George, where do you get all of the figures for airplay, sales, and streaming from?

Hey everyone I got good news. This may be the future channel that could start doing Weekly Hot 100 videos along with many more. I know many of you cant stand Jillboard, so I guess this is it. It all started with BillBoardGoddess. then 5thCent took over. then HrChart took over. And chance may be Mark Oswalt takes over very soon too. Even commented saying he should do Weekly Hot 100 videos. Idk. There may be a need for a new channel because Jillboards videos keep getting taken down

Is there a list for the Hot 100 artist of the year? I imagine I would include Drake, Rihanna, TOP, Chainsmokers, Adele, Selena, Ariana, Charlie Puth, The Weeknd, and Sia in the Top 10 Well, I believe Billboard does release a Hot 100 Artist year-end chart. It includes a lot more than just their hot 100 entries though so I wouldn't know how to calculate predictions for that. Question for George, where do you get all of the figures for airplay, sales, and streaming from? Airplay: Kworb Sales: Kworb Streams: Spotify (thru Kworb), YouTube Music Insights I use some formulas for educated guesses on these^ and Billboard provides articles that include some exact numbers. I then re-evaluate the figures to allow them to fit the streams/sales/airplay top 50 song charts and to make them actually give an appropriate total point value in comparison to the other songs so as to match its hot 100 position.

Just wondering, if Chill Bill stays 13 weeks with a peak of 29 and then drops out, will it be enough to make year end list 2017? I have hopes of this still climbing and hopefully peaking top 20 and staying 10+ weeks. That way it can have a chance for year end 2017.

It got 10.5k points this week and it would have to spend 15 weeks at its exact point value to make it. It most likely needs to keep climbing

It is still behind in radio, I think it can still climb. Gonna call my radio stations and request this nonstop and will also go on Youtube and spam refresh the music video in order to help streaming. Anyone else want to help me?

The Hot 100 Artist year-end list only includes songs that charted on the weekly Hot 100 charts. The overall Top Artist year-end list, however, does include many things including Hot 100 points, Billboard 200 points, Social, Touring, etc., that would be hard to calculate.

On that note, this is something that isn't a massive deal or anything, but if the archives go way back… Then I'm curious as to how much Uptown Funk was getting. Because while it was kicked out thanks to the rule, I'd imagine that it was still on the kworb charts and everything, because I know it spent like the entire year in recurrent. Is there any way you would be able to find out how many points it would've likely ended up with and where it would've been had it not been kicked out and lasted the 76 weeks? Or is it too late to find that out? I said that I would've seen it ending a bit below For Free, if that means anything. I just ask because I'm sure that the Uptown Funk fans who were annoyed over it getting the boot are curious. Thanks!

Cause not a lot of people have known about the song already. It is one of those slow risers. To be fair I was worried that Antidote and White Iverson would get stuck in between years too cause they had 10 weeks in 2015. They both made 2016 Year End list(Or will). Chill Bill had 15 weeks in 2016, so this one is a little bit harder. if White Iverson stayed 30 weeks on charts, I think Chill Bill could too.

If this has already been discussed, my bad. Is this the first time that 4 of the top 5 YE positions are occupied by undocumented foreigners? Attachment Deleted

So as for songs that can repeat from 2016 and 2017 it looks like here is the list 7 songs are guaranteed: Closer Starboy Side To Side Heathens Let Me Love You Broccoli I Hate U I Love U
Starving and Unsteady are still gaining and will make it in easy if they keep up the momentum, however they could both start to fall and end up missing. However they both probably will make it bringing the total to 9.
Then there's Black Beatles which is contingent on it making 2016.
There's 4 songs that are toss-ups, Can't Stop The Feeling, Cheap Thrills, Treat You Better, and Cold Water. These 4 would all need 13 weeks (Cheap Thrills will only get 13 at most) but it isn't impossible, Watch Me in 2016 and Animal in 2011 both started pretty low and only ended up with 13 or 12 weeks and made the year end list. I wonder which ones will be able to do it.
Lastly, I suppose there are some other songs that could surprise us by never going away. Chandelier started at 32 and made it in 2015, Rolling In The Deep started at 36 and made it in 2012, and See You Again might do it in 2016 when starting at 41! Wouldn't it be cool if Tiimmy Turner repeated but never broke the top 30?

They have this week's Hot 100 video under a new user called Jill Board. Apparently, Billboard put a complaint against the former for copyright infringement or something along those lines. Apparently, that's why the older Hot 100 videos were taken down.

No, don't panic. From what I know, it's another user not affiliated with Billboard who stole some Jillboard content and tried to pass it off to his own, flagging videos to sap revenue.

Probably another really stupid question, what are the tracking periods for each week? For example, for the week where the billboard chart says December 10, what days go to the data of that week?
