I just heard an absolutely sensational new song by a lady named Lisa Brokaw entitled 'Real Big Picture' on KZLA's 'Tuesday Test Drive with Whitney Allen'.
Does anyone know anything about her?

Her name is actually Lisa Brokop, and she's marketed mostly to Canada country, CMT Canada - she's on Curb.

She's great....she had a hit or 2 in the states. Take That and She Can't Save Him are the 2 that come to mind, with a very good video to the latter but not the airplay it deserved. She's one of the best out there IMO.

I have her first album and it is really good.It came out in 1994 and has the singles Take That, One of Those Nights, and Give Me A Ring Sometime (the debut single). Not sure where these landed on the charts but the videos were great. Her follow up West Of Crazy was shown on CMT a good bit as I remember but never made it to the charts. If you don't have the Every Little Girls Dream album it is really good. Not sure how easy it would be to find but well worth the trouble.

Her website has a stream of a single named "Ladylike" and you can download an full-length mp3 of a song named "Wildflower". There are quick time videos at the site too. Her page says Ladylike is her new single. I like what I've heard so far, so thanks for bringing her to my attention. www.lisabrokop.com/[Update: I checked further into her site and found this:] Lisa's brand new single, 'Big Picture' will be released to US radio on July 18th! Be sure to call your local station to request the song. 'Big Picture' will also be released in Canada later in July.

This song absolutely blew my doors off yesterday; this lady can REALLY sing, and this is the best uptemp single by a female in quite awhile.
I hope it becomes a smash, and I hope LOTS of other stations will play this song a LOT real soon!!!

Lisa's "Big Picture" is 4th on R&R's Most Added list this week...
Terri Clark She Didn't Have Time (Mercury) 28 Catherine Britt & Elton John Where We Both Say Goodbye (RCA) 25 Phil Vassar Good Ole Days (Arista) 15 Lisa Brokop Big Picture (Asylum/Curb) 14
I'm wondering if the moderators can change this topic's title to Lisa Brokop - "Big Picture" or maybe we should just start a new topic for her single?

"Big Picture" is also up on iTunes...and should this post now be changed to Lisa Brokop "Big Picture"...looks like this will be the thread for the song.

Lisa's had probably 5 or 6 albums released here, and has been having hits for about 10 years in Canada. I like her, but I've never picked up one of her CDs. If you get a chance to hear them, some of my favorites of hers are "Gimme A Ring Sometime", "Take That", "I'd Like To See You Try", and "Cool Summer Nights".

The title still hasn't been changed :S...
Anywho.. its currently at #69, up from #102 last week, with a gain of 70 spins! This might actually be going somewhere!
