Okay, so this is pretty much old news now but it's beginning to cross over to a few non-Francophone countries in Europe. While many were quick to write off Stromae as a one-hit wonder following 2010's MASSIVE "Alors on danse," he came back with what's pretty much the biggest hit of the year in France.
LOVE this. Definitely one of my top 5 songs of the year.

I prefer lead single "Papaoutai," but this is good too. Album is solid as well (and is digitally available in the US, if anyone cares!).

I prefer lead single "Papaoutai," That one went to #1 in France as well (as did the third single "Tous Les Mêmes"). I didn't feel "Papaoutai" at first (what kind of franco-reggaeton?) but it did grow. I love the dramatic/romantic delivery of "Formidable" though. It almost sounds like he's sitting at a bar and telling his story while reflecting and wallowing in his sorrow.

I don't like this song nearly as as much as "Papaoutai" either, but it's a nice song indeed. It puts me in a bad mood though. I like the production.

People in my country know Alors on Danse, but nothing else from him. This is honestly a great song. Nice to see him still having lots of success.
