If she is looking to come back as a successful pop star then a baby does set that back-she is getting older and the window is a very brief, short one for many. However, I no longer want Christina to try to compete with the Katys and Rihannas of the world. I would be happy with her just making a great cd she believes in. She is set for life with the money she made before, endorsements, and The Voice. She doesn't really need or possibly even want to have the frantic lifestyle of a successful pop star like through her first two cds. She still has a career, just a different one from what we expected, and that gives her the leisure to do what she wants with her music. I still hope she eventually tours again even if one a smaller, more intimate level.

9 months is nothing, she can bounce back if she wants to. Look at Shakira, she doesnt look like she had a baby, at all.

She also doesn't look 37. Christina is 33. If she still has the desire to keep going, she can still make a successful return. In fact, if I were Christina I'd be planning the return right now. She can make the album while she's pregnant. She then can do the voice in the spring and release the album in early 2015. Shakira can do the voice all of 2014 and Xtina all of 2015. If things go well for her, she can tour in 2016.

It is a GIRL!!! I am so excited. It seems like most of the pop girls ended up having boys (Gwen, Christina, Britney). I want to see the insanely cute, epic baby clothing she will put on this kid lol. And Max gets to be a big brother now :)

Afraid shes gonna be more into her daughter than diving back into recording like Shaki did.

I agree with the name something not too common like Christina yet not off the wall either. I'm sure Matt will play an influence in deciding. I gotta few names I like for my first born daughter I would lose it if she chose one of them. Anyway very happy for v her

Christina seems like a fantastic mother, and it's great to see she seems so happy right now.

Music probably won't be a priority for awhile, but I'm just happy to see it looks like she actually enjoyed herself onstage for the first time in awhile.

If/when Christina does release another album, all signs point to the fact that she's not gonna put another half-baked effort.

At this point, I really just want Christina to do what she wants with music, instead of chasing radio trends. She's done enough to prove her worth; I really hope she focuses on what she wants, and not release music when she's forced to by her label.

Yeah hopefully she records a lot while pregnant this time. She was so nicely poised to release another record after "Say Something" that it'd be unfortunate to lose all of that momentum.

I'm still upset that "Your Body" didn't blow up. Damn that was absolute perfection.

I don't see that happening. They like to use artists that are still relevant on the charts. I could see them trying to get a big name like Beyonce or Gaga. Even Kelly would make more sense than Jewel. Most likely Shakira will stay all of 2014 and Xtina all of 2015.
