I wonder what happened to her the past year. It's like she suddenly remembered she could look gorgeous with the right clothes and came back to life. And "Say Something" has really got a lot of positive buzz for her. I know people who normally don't like her were amazed she could sound so beautiful and restrained. Although the song didn't strike a chord with me personally, I thought her vocal was gorgeous and haunting.

I think it's hard for big voices in general these days, but I hope these are all good signs that things are looking up--career-wise, I mean, since she already seems pretty happy these days.

I think her falling back in love had a lot to do with it.

Will she return to the next season since Shakira will likely be touring. When do they start filming the next season? She was pretty recluse after Max was born so hoping she doesnt do the same with this baby girl.

I agree with all of this, but I'm guessing the engagement/pregnancy had a lot to do with it. Plus, the success of "Say Something" may have given her renewed confidence as well.

I think Christina has proven she can still be relevant with the right style; hopefully she'll take that to heart with the next album era.

Maybe now that she's reenergized again, we'll get another flawless album down the line (ala Back To Basics).
Christina really seems to thrive creatively when she's in a good place personally; now that she's (finally) reached that place again, I want the spark we've been seeking recently to come out and birth something great.
