Here is Billboard's version of the year-end Hot AC chart, known as the top 50 Adult Pop Songs of 2013. The chart runs from December 1, 2012 to November 30, 2013, this year a 53 week chart period. The chart uses actual airplay data from BDS, but only during a song's actual chart run. This means once a song is moved to the recurrent chart, the recurrent data is not counted. This obviously makes for a fresher chart than the Mediabase Hot AC.
Some huge discrepancies between the two charts as "Brave" and "Blurred Lines" are ranked #22 and #23 respectively on the Mediabase chart, while "Safe And Sound" and "Roar" are ranked #27 and #28 respectively. Also, "Still Into You" did not even crack the Mediabase Top 50. "Ho Hey" though is number one for the year on both charts. I may post a comparison chart between the two charts when I get some time over the next week. Hopefully, the year-end AT40 Hot AC chart leans closer to the Billboard chart. Enjoy!
