I also cannot wait for some new material from Easton! I really enjoy his music, and I'm actually kinda disappointed that they didn't go with a third single from 'All Over The Road'

Most underrated country artist out there. I feel his career has been poorly managed and should be a star. I feel that 'Hearts Drawn In The Sand' could have been a huge hit.

Super excited for this, and new music from Easton. I agree that he's an underrated artist, and I probably would have handled the AOTR era differently myself, but I guess they felt like they needed to cut their losses and get new music out there while he's at least semi-relevant. It looks like the single artwork is going to be revealed Friday, according to the website. There's also an album teaser video on his website which teases... nothing. Heh.

I disagree a bit on his career being poorly managed. I think Mercury has done a good job with Easton. His kind of country is more traditional and true to how modern country should be. But the way that country radio is going, Easton easily could have been lost in the shuffle. I've always been the advocate for lay low and release brand new material with a unheard new single. His label has done good at not letting momentum fall by the waist side, and avoiding a disappointing peak for any of his singles thus far. The reason that there was not a third single from All Over The Road was that there was too much competition with new singles from established artist, along with the stream of newcomers with buzz surrounding them late last year. Now yes, there is a lot of new singles coming out at the beginning of 2014, but the fact this is a new lead single that no one has heard yet gives Easton the best shot at a hit, rather than a third single from his last album and giving a serious risk to his steak of successful singles to the present date.

Good point. Just frustrating that he's had some great songs that I feel would have done really well never got released to radio.

Bobby Bones just premiered this on WSIX. It's kind of a midtempo... about a girl who keeps coming by at 10:47 every Friday night... like clockwork. It's catchy. It's not bro, but I would say it's safe and accessible for radio, but still inherently Easton. Audio! (Song starts at 1:45)

Looks like its about to premier on his website at 10:47AM CT today! Quite clever! Plus its Friday! Just not Friday Night....

I think this song is good. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the progression of the chorus. It's defiantly catchy though. But I think the lyrics are very good, with the betting and train analogies in the second verse especially. Very cool title will help the buzz around this lead single as well. I agree with Carriekins that this is the definition of radio friendly and after hearing this I think that this will do well for Easton. So the song after three listens to me is pretty good...The Bobby Bones Show...not so much..

I liked the song and I think it will continue to grow on me. It's catchy and is very Easton- hoping this will do well for him.

I like this more and more with each listen. Looking forward to hearing more from Easton this era... I think this should do well for him.
According to Country Music is Love, it shipped to radio this morning. And according to Music Row, adds date is Monday! Updating first post...

I have to admit, I was worried Easton would try to modernize his style like Chris Young did and we'd get some version of a bro country song with cliche lyrics, arrogant vocals, and annoying production. I'm very happy with Easton for sticking to his style. I'm not sure how this will do on the charts because of the current climate at country radio, but if there's any hope for neo-traditionalism left on country radio, then I do think this will be the traditional song to make a big impact on the charts.

The song is okay, nothing spectacular....but much, MUCH better than Bobby Bones Show itself (which I personally find dull, bland, boring, uninteresting, and not funny....but anyway...)

His voice is very similar to someone I can't remember. Anyway, amazing song. I was worried it was gonna be about beer and partying.

His voice is very similar to someone I can't remember. His voice has been compared to George Strait a lot. Not sure if that's who you're thinking of, but I notice it a fair amount. Only listened to this once, but I liked it as I do all of his music and I'm sure it'll grow on me even more. I love the title -- it's very original and stands out all on its own. Single cover is also great; Easton is such a stud. His neo-traditional style makes him so refreshing and enjoyable. I really would like to see him continue to succeed and grow at country radio, because he does stand out from many of the other male country acts of today (which is sad to say, since his type of music shouldn't be viewed as anything but normal for country music).

This song has raised my respect for Easton Corbin up significantly. It's not that I hated him before or anything, I just didn't have a huge interest. I liked the song "All Over The Road", but not enough to go out and buy it. But this is different. I have listened to "Clockwork" about twenty times already over the last 2 days. It is traditional (which is Easton's specialty), but it is modern sounding too, but it also has a hook that sounds unique from everything else on radio right now. I'd love to see it go #1, though with it being traditional, top ten works for me too.

This is easily becoming my favorite 2014 release so far. Can we talk about how flawless the second chorus and the bridge are?

This is excellent.
I love the crispness of his voice. I hear a bit of George Strait in the tone of his voice as well as maybe a bit of Joe Nichols. I love this song and the production. One of the better songs released so far this year so I will assume it will struggle at the bottom for weeks and weeks then fizzle out around #30. (no thanks to country radio)

I don't agree with this notion that all the good, meaningful songs (or even most) do poorly on the charts and only the sellouts become big hits. Just look at the top 5 right now. Even "Stay," as strange as some of the things said in the song may be, is by no means a bro song. I think radio usually plays the songs that sell the best and will throw some extra support behind some songs/artists despite bad sales. This actually seems like the kind of song that would do at least decently on iTunes. I can see it going all the way to #1.

New to the forum. Really like the new tune. It's a bit more "catchy" than Easton's previous songs so I think it will do well at radio. It seems guys like him and Chris Young have realized they've gotta be a bit more "radio-friendly" in order to get big success. I look for both to go a little less traditional until they're established stars and then turn back to what they started the careers with.
Note...Chris Young and Easton Corbin have two of the purest country voices I've heard. Guys make anything they sing country.

(no thanks to country radio) I really don't see what makes you believe this will be the case. Easton has yet to release anything that hasn't gone Top 15 and this seems to be one of his better ones. This should almost be an automatic top 10.
