I can't wait for the collabs on this album. Florence Welch on the last album had me FLOORED! Sweet Nothing is still ethereal and unexpected to this day. It was the best of both worlds.

There is a rumour that Calvin would extend his residency in Las Vegas for another 12 months and executives at MGM Resorts International has offered him USD 10m for that. Get that money, Calvin! From Las Vegas Sun (with extra reporting from The Sun):
Also, he's at #2 in Britain's richest musician under the age of 30, according to the Sunday Times' annual rich list. From Billboard (with extra reporting from The Guardian):
Calvin tweeted a photo with Kesha :)

Calvin posted two videos on Instagram, which both of them are too funny!
The first one is about being #1 in the UK for "I Will Never Let You Down", the song he wrote and produced for Rita Ora and he, literally, woke up when he received the news in Las Vegas and he decided to take a shower after that, while the second one is in the Billboard Music Awards red carpet, where he is with Burns and his team.
PS. Daft Punk won in the Top Dance/Electronic Artist category where Calvin was nominated.

I HIGHLY expect a collaboration with Ms. Warrior-Legend herself after that pic. More Kesha = I also hope that, but he told to Billboard on the BBMAs Red Carpet that they were only hanging out
Quick notes since I want to avoid expanding a lot this post: • He won two ASCAP awards as a songwriter for "Sweet Nothing" and "I Need Your Love". • He and Rita Ora split up. • His new single is called "Blame" and it's going to feature John Newman. It will be out on August 18 October 20 in the UK. There's no further information about it though. • Over the last week, Calvin has posted photos on his Instagram account with Big Sean, Tinashe and Ellie Goulding. I wonder who Ellie's middle finger is redirected to
"Summer" is double platinum in Sweden!

Pharrell teased a possible collaboration with Calvin Harris :o He told the following to Capital Breakfast: I know it's very early at the moment, but this needs to happen. Also, the fact that Pharrell praised Calvin's voice makes me think why he still don't like to do it much often
Calvin performed at the Capital FM Summertime Ball and you can watch his DJ set here, which includes the following tracks: • "Under Control" • "Feel So Close" • "We'll Be Coming Back" • "Bounce" • "Drinking from the Bottle" • "Where's Your Head At" (Basement Jaxx) / "We Found Love" • "Summer" / "Summer" (R3hab & Ummet Ozcan Remix) • "Thinking About You" • "Sweet Nothing"

Capital FM uploaded Calvin's DJ set on the Summertime Ball on its YouTube channel, but the audio and the video are out of sync
It's been announced that Calvin would be part of the Stereosonic festival in Australia later this year. By the way, his track "C.U.B.A." has topped the Beatport chart.

Kind of late, I guess, but Calvin will be performing on the London iTunes Festival on September 7, the same day "Blame" will be out worldwide. Also, he's shooting the music video for the aforementioned song and Emil Nava will be the director of it, who previously did "I Need Your Love", "Under Control" and "Summer".
Is this douche gonna drop another album or not? Douche? Anyway, I think Calvin will be doing the same formula from 18 Months, so he may release a bunch of singles until the album is released. Let's remember that "Awooga", which was the first promotional cut, was out on March 2011. I'm not so fond into this idea though.

Calvin uploaded two previews of his new single "Blame", which features John Newman.
From Billboard (1): With a TBD name album and release, Billboard mentions that Calvin's fourth album will be released this year. I really don't know what to say because although it corroborates PopJustice information from later last year, I was expecting it to be released next year if it's considered that there isn't many details about it. Also, "Summer" didn't reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 (It peaked at #7 actually), but it peaked atop on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. (1) Written by Megan Buerger.

Calvin wasn't a household name at the time "Awooga" was released though. Once "Feels So Close" came out, that's what really jumped him into the mainstream. Even though the album was released a year later after that, I don't see Calvin releasing it during the middle of next year. It'll probably be out at the top of next year. ETA: I guess the quote thing doesn't wanna work. Quote: Let's remember that "Awooga", which was the first promotional cut, was out on March 2011. I'm not so fond into this idea though.

Calvin wasn't a household name at the time "Awooga" was released though. Once "Feel s So Close" came out, that's what really jumped him into the mainstream. Even though the album was released a year later after that, I don't see Calvin releasing it during the middle of next year. It'll probably be out at the top of next year. That's true. I mean, when he made the transition from singing on the songs he produced to be a DJ after the Ready for the Weekend era finished, he said that he wanted to release a lot of songs because an album wasn't planned, so "Awooga", "Bounce" and "Feel So Close" came out in 2011. However, I think he became worldwide known (Actually, he had some previous success in the UK and Australia) because of "We Found Love" and, as a consequence, "Feel So Close" was the beginning of his mainstream success when it was pushed by Ultra Records in the US in early 2012. Regarding the album release, I think that there's going to be a song to preceed it. I mean, when "Blame" was pushed back to an October release in the UK, I thought that there was a slightly chance that the album could be dropped a week or two weeks later, but if we consider that it was brought forward to next week instead, I don't think he will release another single later this year, so I guess (and I hope) that there will be an album name and date when the third single is announced, which I also think it could be (out) in the first quarter of 2015.

Hopefully he releases this sooner than later. I'm really excited for "Blame", regardless.

New preview of "Blame"! https%3A//soundcloud.com/capitalxtra/hear-tinashe-sing-a-snippet-of-new-calvin-harris-collaborationAlthough there were previous photos of Big Sean and Tinashe with Calvin, I guess the above basically confirms that there's, in fact, a collaboration with them.

Calvin was with Ryan Seacrest on On Air With Ryan Seacrest (duh!) and he talked about "Blame" and how Rita changed the lyrics from "I Will Never Let You Down", that song he wrote for her. From Ryan Seacrest website: The interesting part of this, though, is that John connected with Calvin via Twitter direct message and he thought that the song could fit into a production from Calvin. As a consequence, he denied that part of the lyrics of "Blame" (re: "Can't you see / I was manipulated / I had to let her through the door") refers to his breakup with Rita because John wrote it. Also, he hinted that John will be performing tomorrow with him at the iTunes Festival and he will try to make John to perform with him too at the iHeart Radio Music Festival. Watch the videos from the interview with Ryan Seacrest below: • How He Makes a Hit Song• Rita Ora Drama• Photo LeaksOh! And he mentioned that the last song he downloaded was "Rari Workout" by Lethal Bizzle featuring JME & Tempa T.

As you may know, Calvin performed at the iTunes Festival in London last Sunday, where John Newman made a guest appearance to perform their track "Blame". The DJ set will be on iTunes for a limited period of time (I assume it will all September there), so you can still watch it here, including standalone featured videos of "Blame" and previews of "Summer" and "C.U.B.A". Also, this was the setlist and I'm still pissed off he didn't play any tracks from Ready for the Weekend there
It has been revealed that Calvin becomes the first British solo artist to reach one billion streams on Spotify worldwide. From the Official Charts: Also, this is what Mark Terry, Co-President of Columbia Records UK, said: And this is what Steve Savoca, Spotify's VP Content and Distribution, added:
Calvin hosted a Spotify Playlist Takeover and you can listen to it here or in the link of the tweet above. It includes "2 On" by Tinashe featuring Schoolboy Q, "Love Me Again" by John Newman, "Cool You Off" by EDX, "Smash!" by Ummet Ozcan, among others, including his tracks "Blame", "Under Control" and the Nicky Romero remix of "I Need Your Love".

Also, as previously posted, "Blame" reached atop last Sunday in the UK and this is what Alan Jones from Music Week said about Calvin and his previous chart toppers there.
