Probably a clear channel deal.

Probably a clear channel deal. Why would you think that? These guys haven't had a hit in ages and have really only had a couple songs do anything notable on the charts.

Ah, then I am wrong, thanks. I find that odd though. I hated that song, btw. My favorites from them are, "Never Mind Me," and "Big Time."

I also loved "Big Time" . I'm glad that that one got mentioned. "Never Mind Me" was a stellar song, but a bad single choice. Horse Of A Different Color was such a unique, but at the same time great album. But each album went a little more downhill to my ears and I do feel Big & Rich's best days are behind them.

These guys are no longer on Warner so a Clear Channel deal won't be happening.

They're hiring the radio team from New Revolution to promote the single but the world premiere on SiriusXM suggests the duo will be releasing the single normally and using the sat caster the way new acts do.

Yeah, no way that this gets a Clear Channel deal. They are not on Warner Bros. anymore. They are on their own label, Big & Rich Records, and they are bringing in the promo team at New Revolution to work this one to radio. They will be utilizing Sirius/XM just like so many other new artists (Lucy Hale's team is really working The Highway as well) have been doing, and hoping that that will translate into decent airplay at terrestrial radio.

Is there anywhere to listen to this yet? I'm curious what sound they're putting out as their first single as independent artists. I'm hoping it's good cause when they are good ("Cheat On You", "Deadwood Mountain", "Holy Water", "Big Time", "Never Mind Me" etc.) they're really great! I'd even take Bad Big & Rich at this point as long as it's not middle of the road filler like "Loud" was.

And sales. SiriusXM proves their reach impacts sales. They could perhaps even be 'blamed' for the bro country movement if one wants to blame someone for that.

Just heard this today on Sirius/XM today. I have to say thank God. It's a very good song. It has sort of a "Lost In This Moment" vibe to it, but not as dull as "Lost In This Moment" was to me. Sounds like something that would have been off their second album Comin' To Your City.
They also played another two songs from the record entitled "Brand New Buzz", and "Gravity". Gravity will be the title of their upcoming studio album. Both were good songs, especially "Gravity". It's reminiscent of songs such as "Leap Of Faith", and "Eternity". The other song "Brand New Buzz" is a misleading title. It's a upbeat love song. So all three were love songs. And all three were good. Maybe becoming family men have matured Big & Rich some. They still were their quirky selves though. Plenty of Citay's and Partay's were uttered. I will get the audio up as soon as it becomes available :).
They also stated that the reason they left Warner Bros. was the fact that when they went to John Esposito (who's the head of the label) that they have new music and want to put out a lead single, he said he would love to but they can't. There was just too many other artists ahead of them with charting singles and they would have to sit on it. So they mutually agreed to part ways.

I would think that having a label that could get a song up the charts but wanted to wait on releasing it would be better than being on a small independent label that probably can't get a song up the charts at all. I'm not sure that this is the case for Big & Rich, but their radio career seemed all but over after two failed singles in a row and starting their own label at this point seems like radio suicide to me.

I'm not sure that this is the case for Big & Rich, but their radio career seemed all but over after two failed singles in a row and starting their own label at this point seems like radio suicide to me. I wondered that as well. Maybe if they were younger artists they would have waited, but perhaps at their age, they didn't want to wait. I think chart success is not a concern of theirs anymore (They didn't exactly burn up the singles charts when they were on Warner Bros. anyway). Promoting this with the help of New Revolution will help some along with the quality of their song and their name. "Party Like Cowboyz" was horrenduos, and that's coming from a fan of theirs. Hopefully the three songs I heard is most of this album. I agree with Jordan a few posts above that when they are good, they are great. I predict a run at the top 40, maybe top 30 if some things fall their way. But I agree, no way I'm predicting this will be a comeback hit because of the label they are now on.

I would love to see them get that creative energy back. Horse of a Different Color is one of the best albums I've ever heard, and Comin' to Your City had a ton of great tracks but a couple weak ones. Then they started getting all dull and generic with garbage like "Loud" that was way beneath them. "That's Why I Pray" was great, but "P@®†y L1k3 K0wbø¥z" or however they spelled it suggested that they were still phoning in the uptempos.

I like the idea of some love songs. Country music seems to be missing these lately.

From the preview, this sounds decent. Lyrics are borderline bro-country but never quite reach full on bro. Love the melody, production and vocals though.

The clip sounded okay...not a bad song, but I think it's a little too tranquil for them. And to me it sounds a little generic. This one might be a grower, but I like their edgier stuff. Their first two albums were amazing.

Pretty good song imo...good way to come back to mainstream radio for them. I agree that it does touch on "bro-country", but I think it's different enough of a lyric not to be. I'm just glad to have new Big & Rich music.

I just realized when looking at Shannon Lawson's name listed as cowriter of this that he had himself a mini hit with "Goodbye On A Bad Day" back in 2002. I actually always enjoyed that song and had to give it a listen tonight. I honestly can't even believe I remember his name and that song as I haven't heard it in years, but I think I had it put it on one of my one hit wonders cd's I made a few years ago.
As far as "Look At You," all I can say is I'm not much of a Big & Rich fan ("Save a Horse" is an immediate radio changer). The song isn't bad, but don't think they are going to see much success at radio anymore.

Great harmonies and melody. But what happened to the fun songs? As I said, their last few "fun" songs felt incredibly forced, but that was B&R's biggest strength and distinction. Stuff like this is still a cut above, but it just doesn't feel like them anymore when they do sensitive ballads.

Stuff like this is still a cut above, but it just doesn't feel like them anymore when they do sensitive ballads. I too miss their fun songs. It seems like their fun music has gone much more downhill, than their serious songs in recent albums. Even their last two albums have had good or great serious songs like "Faster Than Angels Fly", "Cheat On You", "That's Why I Pray". Whereas the fun songs just have been sub-par or going through the motions like "Loud", and "Please Man" or just flat out awful like "Party Like Cowboyz". Hell I would take Comin' To Your City fun song material at this point like "Soul Shaker" and 20 Margaritas". The days of "Rollin'", "Kick My Ass", "Big Time" and "Love Train" are long gone. :'(

Horse of a Different Color was a very good album, but everything since then has been spotty to me, although there have been some shining moments.

This song I'm okay with honestly, and I prefer ballads to nearly everything else on the radio right now because it's not usually about partying it up on the tailgate with women drinking beer.

I like to say just maybe I got that wrong. This is moving up a bit faster than I predicted. This song moves from #43 to #37 on Billboard, and #45 to #39 on Mediabase. 3.500 in audience after just 5 weeks charting is much better than I expected. "Look At You" is now on 88 monitored stations with nearly 10 new adds this week. Now this could easily hit a wall and still fail to become even a moderate hit. But right now at the very least it looks like country radio still has a soft spot for Big & Rich.
