I'm actually quite shocked at how well this is doing. It's at #33 after just 8 weeks, out-pacing several major label artists who have more momentum than Big & Rich do.
This is being promoted by New Revolution Entertainment, a promo team that has scored a few hits in the past but certainly isn't any sort of powerhouse label (they're not even really a label, just a promo team that some labels will out-source promotion to). I don't even know what the biggest hit is that NRE has worked to radio.
They got Will Hoge's "Strong" up to #41, and they got Montgomery Gentry's "I'll Keep The Kids" into the top 40, but I can't think of any other recent hits they were attached to. And both "Strong" and IKTK labored for many weeks to reach their peaks, whereas "Look At You" is only 8 weeks old and looking like a possible top 20 hit, maybe better.

I too an surprised at how well this is doing. I believe this might have to do with a combination of the song quality (radio friendly fare), the promotion by New Revolution, and the name recognition of Big & Rich. It will be interesting to see how this fairs going forward. Perhaps it can make a run at "That's Why I Pray's" peak of #15 on Mediabase.

I think this song is just so great that it's hard for radio programmers to pass up. The vocals just seem so genuine and sweet, the lyrics are well done, and the hook is fairly memorable. At this rate, I don't think a top 5 peak prediction is a stretch at all, unless sales turn out to be dismal, in which case I could see this hitting a ceiling in the teens.

This is a pretty good song, and radio-friendly, but I'm skeptical about it making the top 5, especially considering that they have exactly one top 10 to their name: 2007's #1 "Lost In This Moment". But maybe. I have to re-listen to this one. I haven't heard it on the radio yet, and I only listened to it once or twice when it was first announced as a single.

^It's up there with "Lost in This Moment" in quality imo, but of course I don't know if radio programmers are going to agree with me on that. I was just so excited to see this one have a nice start after their disastrous last two singles that I have a lot of confidence in its chart run. I'm wishing this song all the best and hopefully Big & Rich have more deep material like this in store for us.

This might be my favorite Big & Rich single to date, actually, now that I think about it. I really enjoy it, and I'm happy to see that it's doing well (although I'll admit I am surprised, too). I find the vocals here to be enjoyable and the lyrics to be highly relateable without being too dumb or pandering. I'd really like to see this become a bona fide hit, even though I would not say I'm a fan of Big & Rich at all.

I always forget this song exists. It's a pretty enjoyable tune too. Their vocals sound great and the song has pretty catchy melody. I especially like the beginning and how it begins right with the chorus; it feels very immediate and attention-grabbing.
I can certainly see this being a Top 10 hit for them. I'm pretty surprised that Big & Rich only have one Top 10 hit with how big their name is in the country world. I'm excited to see how far this one can go as I've almost always enjoyed their music. Yes I even enjoyed Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy), which is one of my biggest guilty pleasures.

I like this and am cheering for a B&R return to the Top 10. I think this song might give Big and Rich some street credibility back. I do like more of their stuff than I don't, and I loved "Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace" (both the song and the video).

I think this song is good as well, but to me it's still is no "Holy Water", "Big Time", "Never Mind Me" and "8th Of November".
I used to be a huge Big & Rich fan with Horse Of A Different Color and to a lesser extent Comin' To Your City. They sort of lost me on Between Raising Hell And Amazing Grace, but there were some quality tracks on that record ("Faster Than Angels Fly", "Radio"). But that last album Hillbilly Jedi was pretty bad IMO. Outside of "That's Why I Pray" and "Cheat On You", there were some weak tracks along with some downright awful one's ("Party Like Cowboyz").
Hopefully their upcoming album Gravity will be like Comin' To Your City (I've decided that they will never duplicate the great Horse Of A Different Color).

I'm also quite shocked at how well this is doing thus far. I am by no means a Big & Rich fan and actually tend to really dislike them most of the time, but this is a fantastic song. The only other one from them I've thoroughly enjoyed was "Lost In This Moment". I doubt this will turn into that big of a hit, but its looking like at least a top 20 hit right now, maybe even a little better. I'd say it will probably go top 10, but they aren't on Warner anymore and that may end up preventing their 2nd top 10 hit with this one.

Only one top ten to their credit, the chart topping Lost In This Moment.

I hear this song all the time on the radio station they play at my work, it does get stuck in my head lol, I would've thought it would be higher up on radio by how much my station I listen to plays it.

^The song "just" came out Feb. 24 but it's "already" in the top 40. For a duo with as little momentum as Big & Rich with New Revolution promoting their single, their song has made its way up the charts surprisingly quickly, actually. Most songs take forever in the 50s, 40s, and 30s, while LAY hasn't actually been stalling that much. I can see this peaking towards the end of the summer.

Official Lyric Video: :)
As for the song itself, this is really growing on me. I kind of liked it from the get go, but I was sort of luke warm about it. But lately I've found myself really enjoying this and singing along with it. I was a fan of "That's Why I Pray" though I realize some had a problem with the lyrics in that song, but "Look At You" is my favorite Big & Rich single since "Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace" back in 2007. It's currently #29 on MB and with nobody leaping them and Rascal Flatts officially going recurrent Sunday night, they will move to #28.
This song hasn't had a bad update yet. But at the same time it hasn't really had a breaktrough update. It's just been steadily gaining and moving up the charts at a reasonable rate. It's been charting for 14 weeks now and it's cracked the top 30 with an audience of nearly 10 million. I have to give New Revolution credit, as they've proved to be pretty good at promoting singles at country radio. Kenny and John's name obviously have some to do with it but I originally thought this would make a run at the top 40 and that would be it; perhaps a peak somewhere between #40-36 or so. It remains to be seen how high this can go, but with the steady pace it's been on, a top 20 peak is certainly within reach now.

This song has stalled out it seems and may not make it into the top 20 after all.

This song has stalled out it seems and may not make it into the top 20 after all. I certainly wouldn't say this will still make the top 20 but it's not done as of yet. Back up to a bullet of 100 on MB today. The chart the past two weeks has been super congested with songs and not many leaving along with those two high debuts stealing spins away (Kenny, Sam). Craig and Justin will soon be leaving along with Brett leaving on MB this Sunday. Plenty of singles have had rough updates lately, especially from the 20's and 30's (Jon, Cassadee, Parmalee, Easton). It's gained over 2 million in audience in three weeks which isn't that great but considering the circumstances of the clogged chart, it's not too bad. "Look At You" is closing in on 20 weeks old, so time is running out on this being a top 20 single but there's still time to see this continue bouncing back from the rough past two weeks.

This song has stalled out it seems and may not make it into the top 20 after all. It's up three to #29 and did pick up three quarters of a million in audience impressions. It's only been on the charts for 18 weeks. I think there is still some life in it.

I really enjoy this one. I was never a Big & Rich fan and the first single of theirs that really elicited a positive reaction out of me was "That's Why I Pray" from their last record. I loved that one, and this is right there behind it. I've been hearing this A LOT on radio though here, so it'd be nice if this can pick up the pace a bit before I am totally tired of hearing it (like I am now with "I Got a Car").

As I mentioned in the upcoming albums thread, Big & Rich will release Gravity on September 23rd, 2014. Track Listing:1. Look At You 2. Lovin' Lately (feat. Tim McGraw) 3. Gravity 4. Brand New Buzz 5. Rollin' Along 6. Run Away With You 7. Lose A Little Sleep 8. Don't Wake Me Up 9. That Kind Of Town 10. Thank God For Pain 11. I Came To Git Down SourceHopefully "Look At You" can hold on for most of that time till the album is released. It's been out for 22 weeks and had some rough weeks for the first time this past month but has slowly gained back a little steam. It sits on a new peak of #25 on MB and #26 on Billboard.

I'm really looking forward to this album release. honestly i don't know much of their work from before "look at you" so i intrigued based on this song and i hope they will impress. I also hope they can keep this song going up the charts. Its just fresh not hearing a loud overproduced truck song, so i hope this can get to the top.

But for the most part, they did it tastefully. The songs on their first two albums were just... FUN. :)

New song was released today "Brand New Buzz" on iTunes from their upcoming album "Gravity", due out September 23rd (according to iTunes). Pretty good song, not as good as "Look at You" imo, but still pretty good. Glad they're back together making good music.

This seems to have a decent shot of moving into top 20, looking at the current mb chart.
I haven't heard it here that I recall, but my station tends to only push songs (with certain exceptions) once they hit top 20 or so.
I rather like it, it's got a different sound from a lot of the same ol' stuff that is out there with the sound-alike male soloists.

KMLE in Phoenix has been one of the leaders on this from the jump. I bet I've heard this more than 100 times on the radio this summer and I crank it up every time. I really hope it lasts long enough to make the top 20. Anything after that would be just gravy.

Big & Rich are set to perform on numerous shows, the week of their new album Gravity coming out. Stops will include The Today Show, Huckabee, Imus In The Morning, The Better Show, The Chew, and The Queen Latifah Show which is located in Los Angeles. Source

I'm no expert on these charts, so I may be wrong, but looking at kworb, "Look at You" has a bullet of +109 which is way better than any other song around it. Starting to look like a top 20 hit.

No, that's the "bullet+" column, which doesn't really mean anything--it's just the change in the bullet (7-day spincrease) from day-to-day. If you look at yesterday's update, Big & Rich had a -104 in the bullet+ column. Their actual bullet yesterday (just the "bullet" column) was 7, meaning they'd only added 7 spins from the 18th through the 24th compared to the prior week, the 11th through the 17th. Today, since the bullet+ column shows a +109, their bullet went from just 7 yesterday to 116 today (109 + 7 = 116). I'm not sure what the cause is of such a sharp daily fluctuation in a 7-day rolling number, but they've apparently had some goofy Monday updates for the last couple of weeks, for whatever reason. Anyway, so their bullet is actually 116 today, which isn't too bad, but it's more indicative of a slow-mover. Keith Urban (who's right behind them) has a 7-day spincrease of 401, for example. Little Big Town--just ahead of B&R--has a bullet of 298. Eric Church has been moving slowly as well but even he has a bullet of 192 right now. And Maddie & Tae's "Girl In A Country Song" is coming up fast, with a 7-day spincrease of 576. I do think "Look At You" can make the top 20 but it's a few weeks off yet. They're #23 on the new Billboard chart, but there's no way they'll get to the top 20 before Keith Urban does, and Maddie & Tae will probably jump LAY as well.

Their up nearly 400k in audience on MB since Sunday and over a million on this past week's issued chart. It's up to #22 but could be passed by Keith this week with only Lee going recurrent. All in all I think New Revolution has done an excellent job promoting this to radio. Yes Kenny and John have that much needed name recognition, but since they are on their own label and gave the promotion duties to NR and distribution to Kobalt, I think "Look At You's" chart run has been a success and now they have their album being released next month. No matter how this song's chart run turns out from here, I personally feel that it's gravy and that Big & Rich have done things the correct way when they turned to the independent route.
