^Elvis Presely had a worldwide smash in 2002. (He was not a zombie at the time.)

These are the classics for me: 03 04 99 Luftballons - Nena 05 07 Thriller - Michael Jackson 08 10 Let The Music Play - Shannon 09 14 Wrapped Around Your Finger - The Police 10 13 An Innocent Man - Billy Joel GJWHF is so overplayed. Same with Karma. Jump is okay. Joanna was cheesey.

No young un', the last recorded music of John Lennon was released in early 1984 on an album with the title Milk and Honey. It was always planned to be the follow up to 1980's Double Fantasy. "Nobody Told Me" was the first single off of it, and it's pretty amazing that he was still able to have a top 10 single three years after his death. The power of John Lennon.

Is it just me or does American Authors' "Best Day of my Life" sound a lot like Imagine Dragons' "It's Time"...? Whenever I head BDOML I immediately think of It's Time lol...

Happy's ascent is reminiscent of Blurred lines'.
Let's see if the sales can also match BL.
Team is ridiculously high on Radio for a song that is out of the top 10 on iTunes.

There was obviously a missed opportunity when she performed "Royals" for the trillionth time at the Grammies than promoting this.

Love Somebody all over again Not necessarily....what is the streaming situation? It's currently #8 on Spotify and dropping week on week. It lost 115,136 streams compared to last week.

Team has been consistently in itunes top 10 (#10 at the moment) only dropping out when Bruno Mars had a couple songs in there after the super bowl. She had a huge hit with Royals and her album is consistently selling well and frequently in the top 10 itunes. Radio is probably also looking at past performance like they seem to do with Katy Perry songs.

Over on the Digital Songs chart, Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" continues to reign at No. 1 -- though it has a significant drop in sales. The song sold 291,000 downloads in the most recent tracking week, down 22%. The sales erosion is owed to how the song saw a big 27% gain a week ago, following Perry's performance on the January 26 Grammy Awards. Without the Awards show exposure this week, the song's sales naturally came back down.
Pharrell's Oscar-nominated "Happy," meanwhile, continues to gain, as it climbs 3-2 with 252,000 (up 15%).
Jason Derulo's "Talk Dirty," featuring 2 Chainz, is pushed back 2-3 despite a gain of 3%. It sold 242,000 last week.
Passenger's "Let Her Go" steps 5-4 with 182,000 (up 3%). A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera's "Say Something" is up 6-5 with 171,000 (up 12%).
Idina Menzel's "Let It Go" flies 16-6 with 138,000 (up 28%) -- the song's second-largest sales week. It only sold more over Christmas week, when it shifted 153,000 downloads.
Bastille's "Pompeii" is up two rungs to No. 7 with 131,000 (down 6%), Pitbull's "Timber," featuring Ke$ha, is steady at No. 8 with 130,000 (down 9%) and Aloe Blacc's "The Man" rises 13-9 with 125,000 (down 3%). Lorde's "Team" rounds out the top 10, as it ascends 12-10 with 113,000 (down 13%).
Digital track sales this past week totaled 23.61 million downloads, down 1% compared with last week (27.32 million) and down 14% stacked next to the comparable week of 2013 (27.32 million). Year to date track sales are at 151.39 million, down 11% compared to the same total at this point last year (170.97 million).

I'd love (and believe its still likely even if by a little bit) for Katy to get 4 weeks at #1. Beyond obviously 'Happy' is in the fast lane going 100 mph for #1 very, very soon. While 4 weeks or so is great and will end up a bigger hit than Roar, if its wasn't for 'Happy' its likely she wouldve had her longest #1. Watch her end up staying at #2 (behind 'Happy') for like 10 weeks lol :/

Big battle between "Happy" and "Let It Go" for the Oscar, I think. I wonder how much "Let It Go" will sell if Idina performs it there (40 million viewers+).
