Fuck the Grammys sure, but I'm all for any of these events that call attention to Mariah's legacy. Let them know! She's long overdue for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (not to mention the R&B Hall of Fame), and maybe things like this will help out.

Mariah has a beautiful aura that I’ve always gravitated to since I first saw her. She really does have “a light” in her “that shines brightly.”

So happy for her to have this moment and being celebrated by her peers, especially by Stevie, who she adores greatly. I can't even imagine how much that meant to her. Also, she looked like a GODDESS.

I love her beyond just the incredible music and talent. She has a sense of self, authenticity and vulnerability that is so evident. She combines that with a big personality and shade and laughs.

She is everything. I can relate to her. I also love she is being recognized by the community that she clearly identifies with most.

Less importantly love that she isnt sticking to wearing black gowns and introducing new colors lately. Her stylist, hair and makeup team is on point.

The more i hear talented artists sing Mariah songs the more I realize nobody can sing Mariah songs the way Mariah sings her songs. Either they over singing and loud or undersing. Even the ones I think did well I say it's missing that Mariah magic.

The fact that after 15 years they did not showcase a single one of her *three* R&B wins in 2006 in the main telecast is still so gross. It seems like the internet has all but been scrubbed of this clip, but didn't they also play "WBT" when U2 won one of their Big 4 categories?
