Pre Order is down to #25 on iTunes. Do you guys think they should be sending out another single? It's a pre-order. It's not supposed to stay top 10 until the official release. She has Letterman coming up this week, and Today next week so those should help the pre-order. Regardless, the main thing is that she hits big the week it's officially released. All of these pre-order sales are essentially "bonus" sales. |

I think she would be smart during her Today show performance to maybe do a medley of like 3 new songs to get people talking. Like a small preview without giving too much away so to speak. If people are talking about a particular song she performs during the medley then perhaps look into that song as a potential single. I doubt she'll perform more than one new song (if she even does a brand new one). |

No way in hell are they paying for ads like that all over times square and don't have a JAM for her to release Monday to keep the momentum going.

Even with a hit this won't sell millions. I think she'll debut with 90-95k, and end up being certificated Gold by the end of the year.

I know we can never count Mimi out, cause she always surprise us and slays. But I'll just enjoy the music. If this ends up being a multiple platinum album then Thank God, if not, i didn't set myself up for disappointment.

Yea of course the sales wouldn't match, but I really have a strong feeling this is gonna be her most successful era since Emancipation. Mimi can be delusional about bdays and her age and all that, but she knows it's only gonna be harder to score hits as she ages. She's still got that drive in her, that's why she was in the recording studio literally to the hours before she submitted this for pressing. I wish shedidnt have dupri but seeing he's only involved on two tracks gives me optimism. She's gonna kill it. |

Actually, I would like some new blood or to at least see her try. I would love a Mark Ronson produced ballad like Amy Winehouse's "Love Is a Losing Game", I have mentioned Rick Rubin, Justin Parker would be a nice addition too. It would be interesting to see what she could do with Quincy Jones.

He brought Fly Like a Bird and Circles into my life. Babyface has been sporadic throughout the year. Plus if we went back to Kenneth we would be treading on Walter territory again. I can't wait to hear the Hit Boy ballad.

I would love Rick Rubin. The stripped down raw feel is what I think she's going with on the new album but Rick Rubin would be the master of that. I would love her next album to be just a straight up ballads album. Ten new ballads produced by some of the industry's heavyweights.

My hope is that they'll focus on longevity with the album and that Mariah will continue her performances/promotion, etc. throughout the summer and fall. |

I agree but she has to have a good single on the album. It's all about the music with her. Mariah the diva doesn't sell but Mariah the singer with a catchy single will sell albums. Gimmicks don't work for her in terms of album sales like they work for other people. |
