That was your last shot, you ain't comin' back. It's the martini for all the trolls coming in here with the same dumbass questions and "fears" and "concerns". Save those for artists in danger of going bankrupt if they can't manage to go gold. Also, as a SONGWRITER with all those hits, Mariah doesn't need to sell ANYTHING, lesbionest.

From twitter: @vahesus: According to this insider, from what he has heard, there are at least 5 radio friendly songs (Meteorite, Faded, & the 3 Hit-Boy songs) @vahesus: Also, her main influences on this album (aside from anything modern) were Daydream and Music Box. Do with that what you will @vahesus: According to this insider, "Thirsty" is classic Mariah. @vahesus: The JD songs don't sound like typical JD songs - One has an orchestra, one has EDM influences, and another is an uptempo. Another "insider leak" from good ol' GoldSoundz. Well, we'll soon find out if any of these are true.

I can see the first one being true as Mariah's singles oriented material usually lean toward the front of her albums, I can believe maybe Daydream, but she doesn't like her Music Box material. I am not sure I buy the EDM influenced song as she has been so adamantly speaking out against it in her interviews. We saw the clip of the orchestra, so we know that is true, and if I recall, she said the JD ones lean more toward midtempo/uptempo.

Hmm, I have a hard time believing that Mariah would look to Music Box for inspiration. The AC sound of that album isn't really her style.
"Thirsty" being classic Mariah could mean many things, but I'm assuming it means it's similar in vein to "Dreamlover" or "Fantasy" (but not being a re-hash). If so, that would be much welcomed.

J.D and Mariah described "Thirsty" as a "stripper/club" type joint even if it doesnt fit the bill of being in the same class as a "Pour It Up" trust me anything described as a strip joint track is NOT a Mariah classic lol. That alone tells me that source that poster quoted is wrong and full of shit.

Apparently, George Michael did not approve the cover of One More Try. Apparently, he heard it and hated it so much, Mariah had to remove it but since she insists on another cover, the album will be pushed back until the summer. Sources say she will be covering Lovin You by Minnie Riperton now. Story developing...oh yeah, she and Nick are definitely getting divorced, which will be addressed on the album. He is contacting lawyers about full custody and demanding she go to rehab for addiction to alcohol and pain medications.

Most of the "insider leaks" from GoldSoundz have been completely accurate.
Anyway, comparisons were made to Music Box during the recording sessions for Memoirs too. I wouldn't put much stock into that. I could see "One More Try" evoking that sound though.

Only 17 more days left! Honestly that's such a short time- especially for those who will listen to the leak which means you'll be hearing it in less than 2 weeks! :)

Just for reference purposes: :) there is a difference between that post and then hearing it, so apparently "thirsty" doesnt sound like a classic Mariah record and it no longer sounds like "Music Box" tbh i just know from the time I have been here his information REGARDING Mimi has been true, that's all I'm saying and that's coming from someone who doesn't believe anything anyone tells me until I see it or hear it lol. May 27th is around the corner so we will all find out with out own ears and I'm sure we will ALL have our own opinions on the same songs. I could hear something and say it sounds like this or that record and you can reference another, music is so subjective anyways.

One of my all time favorite songs for those that care and don't know and if my memory serves me correctly it was in my top 5 when I ranked my Top 50 Mimi tracks.

I think my FAVORITE non-single songs are Underneath the Stars, Forever and Melt Away. It's hard not to put Looking In in the top 3 but it is only my first listen so I'm sure things will change! All great songs! But "Forever" was a single, if I recall.

Her dislike for that album is so apparent. I think the only songs she likes from that album are Anytime You Need a Friend and Dreamlover. The interview from Wonderland says she drew inspiration from the demo versions of her debut and Emotions which I can see as more of what Mariah would want from her music.

Yeah, I don't get the Gold Soundz dragging. He has always been friendly and reliable. His creditability certainly also lies within his ability to remain unbiased and honest. #trust

Good question. I liked to tease Goldie but he was always wicked nice to me and I respect his hustle as a lawyer.

Guys, let's not post and circulate leaks if they happen before the 27th. The trolls are going to but we don't have to. Let's give Mariah at least a fighting chance in her first week of sales.

At this point in her career, whenever I think "classic Mariah" I think "witty, tongue-in-cheek lyrics, and a lot of vocabulary words."

I need this music now, as much as I love YM (E), I'm tired of it from listening so many times plus it's more of a winter song, now the Art of Letting Go is staying fresh with me due to it's own epicness and the fact that some personal situations are making it very relatible. #Beautiful is becoming fresh to me again now too since the weather is getting warmer and it's just one of those songs where it's like really warm and you just wanna roll your windows down and blast it. This thing is basically two weeks away, can we at least get a press release? I mean, c'mon!
Oh yeah, and Wendy Williams was talking about the album cover again yesterday, saying that her and J.Lo were basically competing with their album covers, of course she got the story wrong saying J.Lo released her album cover first (which made me mad). I guess we'll take the press though, even if flawed...

Yeah, I think she's associated more with that LITE&B style at this point than big diva ballads. Like people are more ready to call someone like Ariana Grande a Mariah clone than they would some adult contemporary balladeer. Butterfly and Rainbow are that "classic Mariah" sound now; I wouldn't take it to mean sounding like her early 90s Walter material.
