Favorite parts: - "Carey starts out “Love Takes Time” cooing gently, like she hopes to recapture some sort of tenderness that she’s lost." - "“Love Takes Time” is structured as a gospel song, more or less. The melody is bone-simple, which gives Carey room to ululate all over it. She holds that central melody, but she also allows her voice to wobble and soar. At the climactic moments, she sings that melody more-or-less straight-up. Most of the time, though, she trills and riffs and wanders." - "I think Carey’s theatrics work within the context of the track. She always keeps the melody close at hand. (Carey sings her own backing vocals, and those backing vocals are what allows her lead to spin all over the place.) Carey’s fluctuating voice lends majesty to the song’s wounded vulnerability. It’s like she’s so sad that she can barely control her own tremendous gift." - "“Love Takes Time” works in spite of that production, not because of it. It’s like Mariah Carey was already singing from the future, like the standard methods of pop production just hadn’t caught up to her yet."

I'm confident Mariah will get a nod, but no expectations of a win even if it's deserved. I shouldn't be confident of a nod, though, considering the Grammys.

I also liked the comment that even though the label considered this a career-making ballad, Vision of Love had already done the job for that.

What's the difference in the Celebration Mix Edit and the Celebration Mix Video Edit?

What's the difference in the Celebration Mix Edit and the Celebration Mix Video Edit? Subtle differences; like they have slightly different intros.

There was an ad on Variety that featured Mariah only the other day as well.

I just realized there are two 'versions' of "When You Believe" on Spotify (same song, it's just the one on the soundtrack has its own total separate from the ones on Mariah's GH and Whitney's MLIYL). When you combine them, "WYB" has over 100 million Spotify streams. That gives Mariah 12 songs over that mark.
"WYB" is also in the 100/100 club; 100 million streams on both Spotify and YouTube. It's Mariah's 10th song in that club, though it's 11 if you combine the YT views for the album version of "Fantasy" and the remix.

This is probably just merchandise but I’m betting a new Apple TV special is coming... She has been in dressing rooms in several of her last videos.

Some have speculated "Remembering" refers to a new song/title:

“remembering” seems too simplistic of a song title for the Chanteuse.

Can’t wait to see what’s in store for the Xmas special. I love the “the magic continues” vibe. Excited to hear FILAC!

Mariah has 9 songs in the 100/100/100 club (i.e. all three). It's 10 if you combine those views for "Fantasy." I should update my stats for the divas in this thread.

Don't watch if you don't want interruptions, but he does talk about how Mariah has the most technical skill and knowledge of anyone he's heard:

So if that song is dropping on November 5th (next Friday) I would imagine that we'll get an official press release very soon. Like tomorrow.
