Well, and she also wrote "a couple of songs" for a "really, really good" album that apparently never got released (ugh) for one of the first acts on her Crave label - Blue Denim, a female rap-singer duo that did end up being featured on the Salt-N-Pepa song "Silly of You" (Kimmy Kat is Salt's sister):

I've seen it elsewhere too actually. I think people don't know the difference between owning publishing and owning master recordings. The publishing is what Mariah knew to hold onto so she had some control of how her music is used. I thought I remember reading somewhere that the masters go back to the artist after 30 years. So maybe she does have some early masters, and is about to acquire Music Box? I'm just speculating there of course.

I think they thought (and i agree) that it'd look odd on the tracklisting with all the other songs from MB that don't have a date. It might also create confusion if there's gonna be a physical release.

Anyway, my main hope for the upcoming anniversary of Music Box is that we get something 'from the vault.' In an ideal world we'd get this song she did with Dave Hall since they did such good work together, but there is also the version of "Dreamlover" without the "Blind Alley" sample so that could be cool.

Yeah they were both sporting new rings earlier this year and kind of making the finger obvious in pics. It was a simple band she started wearing and I think was around easter time. He started posting similar things with his hand showing. The ring is no longer in recent posts.
