Nope. Unintentional comedy. Mariah's verse doesn't even make sense and doesn't properly flow or rhyme. Her ad-libs are also...off. They really should have done something new. Honey, you've been writing that everywhere and even before the remix was out you said something like "no and" on Ariana's thread. Seems like you weren't planning on liking that anyway. Yeah no she sounds fantastic sorry!!!!! MUCH better than the Latto remix. My only not is that Ariana should’ve re-recorded her vocals to match Mariah’s but maybe she didn’t have time who knows

Mariah isn't a magician. I wasn't a fan of the song as is, but she sounds fantastic and she made the song less thin and sparse and added to it.
However ready for MC16 and Mariah on a Mariah song

Hmmm…I need a few more listens. I wish they would have just traded parts in the pre chorus. MC is over singing and it sounds rough against Ariana which is weird because she’s a master of control. I would have kept things quiet and popped off at the end, which sounds excellent and gives me 90s MC club mix nostalgia - i mean this single is a direct reference to that sound. i also would have extended it, put in a BG singers maybe a choir, and turned the track up to a real club mix. Blahhh the same old formula 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 dislike your opinion What do you mean “the same old formula”? As a longtime Lamb, I want more of the MC we hear at the back of the song. Curious as to what “formula” you’re speaking on. I just think it A) could have been mixed better in the pre chorus and B) had some rewriting on her verse. She sounds fantastic otherwise especially in the last minute of the song. I just think they could have had more fun with this remix. I LIVE for the stacked opening. I just wanted different interpolations as MC did in her 90s mixes and let it ride for a few more minutes. |

I hope they release an extended. I really want to hear them riff and shred their vocal chords. Despite all of the back and forth, I just wanted a true club mix of the OG song - which i actually like - but with some new sections! I hope Mom takes this sound into her new era because hearing her in her element towards the end, I got chills.

I’m honestly interested but hard to decipher if you have something to truly add to the convo or you’re just popping off due to feelings? Mariah sounds solid and it is good to hear her on this type of song, but I agree the lyrics for her verse are odd.

It is nice to hear Mariah in fine voice on this. I don’t know that this is a knock it out the park moment. I love hearing Mariah on a dance track again. My issue I take with the track is there are times where their vocals connect beautifully together and parts where they don’t connect at all and it comes off as messy. Ariana said it best thank u, next. It’s a cute moment, but hop in the studio and give us a better moment together.

Um, if anything Mariah sounds stellar on this. And this is coming from someone who's been VERY critical of her studio vocals post-Caution.
I'm inclined to give it to her that quarantine rest has done long term good to her voice. This is the most crisp her middle and higher registers have sounded in *years*.
As for the song itself, for me it was a C+ in its original Ari solo version, now it's gone up to B+.
But hey this is cool, and we're all happy for Ari that she's realized her dream of collaborating with her goddess once more, so, yay!!!! etc etc but we're ready for solo MC! 😊

I’m not a fan of this song but Mariah & Ariana both sounded great on this. Mariah was the highlight to me. I hope they both get success for this song.

I think this made me more excited for Mariah’s album as I do really enjoy her vocals on this. I would like this to perform relatively well, so that radio might be open to playing Mariah when she does surface with new music.
