I feel like I'm hearing a different song than some people because I think Mariah sounds solid; definitely better than those dry vocals on the "Big Energy" remix at the least. I'm also happy with this remix as it has more Mariah on it than I expected. I love the stacked vocals in the intro, and Mariah's harmonies on the chorus give it a punch the original version does not have. I think Mariah sounds fine on her verse, even if the lyrics are odd. I then like that she ad-libs during the bridge since the spoken bridge feels anti-climactic, and Mariah's ad libs are literal extensions of the lyrics on the bridge so I am not sure why some people are finding them to be random.

More than anything surely we can all join together and help this remix outperform the original so that Mariah gets another Hot 100 credit to her name, preferably a top 40 or even top 20 song. Hell she could also nab a Pop Duo nom at the Grammys if they go for it.

Mariah and Luther's version of "Endless Love" passed 100 million streams on Spotify. It's actually Mariah's 21st song to hit that mark.
Madonna has 14 songs at that mark, Celine has 12, Whitney has 11, and Janet has 3.

"Endless Love" also joined the 100/100 club (100 million Spotify streams and 100 million YouTube views), giving Mariah 15 songs in that group.

What service are you all using to listen to it? I am seeing a lot of people say the mixing is poor when you listen to it on Apple Music, particularly if Dolby Atmos is turned on.

I dunno, maybe it's just a matter of being a lamb for 25 years, knowing where she was then and where she is now, but I'm glad I can enjoy this and be happy about its existence. I think jenglisbe pretty much nailed his review. What were we expecting? Vocals from the 90s? An entirely different song than the one you hated without her on it?

She improved the song immensely and she sounds better than she has in ages IMO. I respect if it's still not someone's cup of tea, I'm just confused by what seem to have been off the mark expectations.

I like this remix and am quite happy to see Mariah jump on this and give us a 90s throwback moment.
I liked the song before the remix but it needed an extra punch -and Mariah did that! I agree that the mix could’ve been better as there are parts where she sounds too loud and one or two where I heard some sort of autotune / vocal effect. Besides that, I liked the harmonies, the ad libs, the powerful vocals and the overall appreciation that I felt from this collab.

And I’d say that as 30+ year Mariah fan, it’s a bit off putting reading comments from lambs that think that it’s a good look to have Mariah as an unreacheable goddess higher than tho, that all artists should bow to

But did they actually work together? Mariah likely just recorded her vocal parts on her own and sent them to Ariana's team or something. I'm not sure who produced her vocals, but more so it's very possible she didn't even meet or talk to Max.

What's hilarious is Ariana's fans don't like the remix because Mariah outsings Ariana, and Mariah fans don't like the remix because they don't think she sounds good.

Anyway the remix only did 727k streams on U.S. Spotify yesterday (#32 overall), so now I'm not even sure Mariah will get a credit on the Hot 100. The original version isn't in the top 50, but the remix definitely needs to keep streaming better than the original version all week long and also sell a lot for that to happen. As usual lambs are Mariah's own worst enemy. Stop bitching and stream!

I think I saw that that is about 200K more than the original, which I think is honestly pretty good. Still feel like we are in the running as the remix should obviously outsell the original by a wide margin.
