They'll never make me hate this song Mimi. I love that she knows who she is. She sticks to her Rnb and hip hop and is consistently herself. She doesn't need to reinvent herself to please the masses . She ain't country one day and a rapper the next she not Disney one day and a homewrecker anthems the next minute.

Big if but if that's true we only a couple months away from a Lead single and a summer album would make Mariah feel obligated to release a summer up tempo anthem . No ballads first!

I just want quality records and sufficient album promotion (which includes live performances of singles on the album) and let the chips fall where they may. If it is an uptempo that's not good, it won't make any difference to me if it's an uptempo especially if that uptempo isn't one of the best songs on the album. Don't release a song just because it's summer and an uptempo song over anything else that's better on the album. Either way, hopefully we'll soon find out if that's exactly what is going to happen.

They should've been specific they mean women who had a solo career from the start. Not women who graduated from Mathew Knowles group auditions to be a future solo star which started after Aaliyah passed so 2002 or 3?! Right around same time as Ashanti

That fan voting, I believe, only counts for 1 out of over 1000 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ballots. As long as she's in the top 7, she will get an official "vote" from that ballot. If not, it isn't the end of the world. Plenty of artists who don't win the fan vote end up getting inducted and vice versa. Since it only accoutns for less than .1% of all ballots.

I am wondering if her memoir is still being turned into a series. For a while, that was all she discussed. Things went very quiet on that project. Not that I mind, I would rather she focus on music. I definitely need a new album and the Someone’s Ugly Daughter release.

I think this would be the way to make it a hit as a Cardi B lead with Mariah featured on a good portion of the song, then Mariah follows up with a good second single. I would say almost similar to the structure of Beautiful. She has a pretty narrow window though between Texas Hold ‘Em and Taylor’s new single to not get lost in the mix though, so she needs to be on it if she is indeed dropping new music soon. Otherwise, I would say summer time if she is trying to get a noticeable hit that doesn’t get lost in the mix. |

They had 2 great albums, but they were just a Beatles lite act who came and went with the 1990s. Like, how are they Hall of Fame worthy?!) Are they sure this is the lead single from Mariah? Or is this another random Cardi B single? When was the last time she had a "real" hit? I think her last big hit was "Up" in 2021. Since then "Hot Shit" and "Bongos" were genre hits. Her track record the past few years is pretty spotty, though to be fair she hasn't really made a big push as a lead artist in awhile. |
