"Rockin'" is ahead on iTunes because it's discounted, whereas "AIWFCIY" is not. Streaming is hard to know because we don't get numbers for services like Amazon Music, which is dependent on "Alex play..." "AIWFCIY" is ahead on Spotify and YouTube and Apple Music, so where is "Rockin'" ahead of Mariah to make up all that difference? Not that itās currently ahead, but I wonder if itāll keep chipping away and catch her. Likely not, given MC has traditionally been the No. 1 Christmas song every year while the No. 2 slot rotates a bit more I think it can be deceiving, too. "AIWFCIY" traditionally leads in all 3 metrics - sales, airplay, and streams. So even when "AIWFCIY" was #1 last year and "Rockin'" was #2, the latter wasn't actually all that close. This year "Rockin'" is discounted at iTunes, so it has the current lead in sales. "AIWFCIY" is still ahead elsewhere, and it would be ahead in sales if the songs were the same price. Regardless "AIWFCIY" got its weeks at #1, so why does it matter? That can't be taken away.

Confident, healthy, happy and indestructible Mariah is here to stay. Once you've made it through everything it becomes easy. She is so comfortable in her skin.

She needs to give 25% of all proceeds to Kristopher and 25% to her photographer - she looks absolutely radiant.

The whole interview is pretty good tbh (it's in Spanish). I think she discovered stuff in her vault even she didn't expect to/had forgotten about. All these years as a fan I had figured that she doesn't over-record. However, it seems she probably has TONS of music in her vault. She said that "Can You Hear Me" and "Out Here On My Own" were demos, yet when you listen to them, albeit, yes, not 100% polished, they're still pretty much completed songs. So imagine what she has lying around in her vault...

Between Caution and now the memoir, Mariah has never been so beloved by critics.

Between Caution and now the memoir, Mariah has never been so beloved by critics. I donāt think this is a coincidence Mariah is starting to get critical love. Iāve mentioned this before but it feels like criticism has changed in the decades Mariah has been around. Also as someone who works in media I can see this... back when Mariah was starting and through the 90s a lot of music critics were white boomers, and it was easy for them to dismiss Mariah (and a lot of women for that matter) as not important. Lord knows Mariah took her lumps. But now those that are in the business of criticism grew up with her, loving her music, influenced by her and some of them are even lambs that work at various places. Her career shows if you make music that resonates with people, it doesnāt matter what the critics say, your career will last/be legendary. The critics will then come around. Thatās what I think has happened to her. If you told most critics in 1995 that Mariah would be inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, they wouldāve scoffed. We know itās totally deserved and few people would argue otherwise.

There were two Mariah āadsā on ABC just now in the same commercial break. One for Good Morning America where she will be promoting the special this week and the other was an actual commercial for the Xmas special. Apple is killing it! Giving the Queen the promo she deserves.

They are only following suit because Mariah is being given her flowers on social media and they have no choice but to hop on the wagon. The critics can GTFO.
