I did a little looking ahead at the calendar and the next time Christmas and Christmas Eve will be in a full, 7-day tracking week (assuming Billboard doesn’t change any rules) will be 2025. Other than that it’ll be partial tracking weeks for them. I was checking to see when AIWFCIY was likely to have another monster week. Will be fascinating to see what Billboard does in subsequent years regarding rule changes, if they attempt to water down the points of older songs, the way the UK does. Obviously for Mariah’s sake hopefully there are no changes before she can try and reach week 20!
Will also be curious to see how AIWCIY goes up Billboard’s all-time Hot 100 list as long as it keeps getting to No. 1. It’s finally accumulating weeks inside the top 10 and No. 1 to get it up that list.

^doesnt really matter anymore since AIWFCIY has been hitting #1 on the HOT100 weeks before that Xmas charting week. But if Billboard creates a rule like the UK then we can run into some issues. However...here comes the plot twist.....AIWFCIY has already topped the UK for two weeks with tha rule in place. Something that many thought would be impossible. At this point, AIWFCIY doesn’t care about any rules and it will do its thing.  |
