From what I'm seeing here, there are only single seats left?

I think a lot of good seats will be available when general sale opens on Monday. Over the four nights there are over 11,500 seats available - I don't personally believe they sold anywhere near that in pre-sales, so I'm assuming a lot were held back. I could be wrong though!

I've never gone to a Mariah Carey concert with someone else...always alone LOL. So, I'm used to it by now.

From what I'm seeing here, there are only single seats left? For which dates? I can't find any single seats on the 20th. I was confused because I didn't know people were participating in a presale... I thought you were all just purchasing as regulars. If I wait until the 10th, I'm sure I'll find groups of seats. It would be super odd to have sold most of the tickets during a presale, I'd think. We'll see Monday. But to answer your question, I'm interested in the 18th.

I can't wait for the youtube clips of this NYC Xmas thing.

I have a code that works and tried to buy 2 or 3 seats together and no luck. There were only single seats left. That's weird since all I was seeing are 2 seats together, but that was for the 20th. What date were you looking at? Who here is going on the 20th? If I can get a ticket, I will look out for you then. In the words of the eternal chanteuse, I'll be there.

I don't think this was posted. The EW writer isn't saying anything we don't know about the tune, but why not spread more love. However, there are other good holiday tunes out there (he acts as if every single one out there is terrible). music-mix.ew.com/2014/11/03/all-i-want-for-christmas-is-you/?hootPostID=2268e627e0173ce9a259f1479809f1f9I hate Christmas songs -- but I love 'All I Want for Christmas Is You'By Miles Raymer on Nov 3, 2014 There are plenty of reasons to dread the holiday seasonāand even if the inescapability of dreary Christmas music doesnāt seem as serious as family troubles or seasonal affective disorder, itās no less depressing. The genreās religiosity isnāt the main thing thatās so off-putting to a certain type of listener; neither is the miasma of nostalgia that clings to these tunes. In truth, itās simply the fact that most of them are just bad songsāstiffly pious, musty with age. Every year, it seems like they become a little longer than you remember, a little slower, a little harder to endure. The one bright spot during this time of year? Mariah Careyās āAll I Want for Christmas Is You,ā an incredible pop song doomed by its subject matter to only be played for a couple months each year. (The song celebrated its 20th anniversary over the weekend.) āAll I Want,ā which Carey co-wrote with her former producer Walter Afanasieff, is a weird choice for a Christmas classic. While it presents a laundry list of traditional Christmas trappingsātrees, presents, Santa, cozy fireplace situationsāit also dismisses them, explicitly stating that theyāre less important than Mariah being with the one she loves. For anyone who feels suffocated by the seasonās cloying good cheer and respect for tradition, itās a refreshing bit of shade-throwing on the whole endeavorāsleigh bells or no. But whatever grinchy joy you get from the hint of anti-Christmas subversion pales next to the deep pleasure of the music itself. āAll I Wantā is a purposeful invocation of ā60s girl groups filtered through the prism of Pet Sounds-era Beach Boysāand it manages to hold its own against the originals, incorporating a thundering mini-orchestral arrangement that unfolds with the majestic overwhelmingness of a storm system. The chord progression on the verses builds with the confounding sense of inevitability of a song like āBe My Baby,ā reaching for some platonic ideal of pop perfection. Then the chorus tumbles down a cascading G-major scale with unexpected grace before turning on a dime for the final lines. Listening to the song is like finding yourself in the path of a charging rhino that, right before impact, executes a perfect double cartwheel and ends in a pirouette. āAll I Want for Christmas Is Youā is, famously, one of the few songs from the past several decades to enter the Christmas canon. Its embedding in Love Actuallyāitself a new holiday standardāhas been given a lot of credit for that. But the song is perfect enough to stand on its own, and not just during Christmastime. Itās deservedly developed a little cult of pop aficionados who hold up the song as an example of immaculate construction and composition, along with evangelists like Grimesāwhoās infamous for slipping it into DJ sets at any time of year. Both spread the idea that the best Christmas song of the past few decades is simply one of the best pop songs of the past few decades, hands down. It seems unfair to keep such a great tune confined to one short period of time each yearābut as long as itās there to offer a welcome respite from the dreadful music we have to endure for the season, itās not such a bad deal.

I don't think this was posted. Yes. I posted it a few pages ago as a link. Anyway... when will another singer come along that can touch my soul and elevate my being like Mariah?? :'( I really respect the fact that she didn't chase any trends and make a bunch of inorganic collaborations in a vain attempt to capture the youth market. On her album, she has Nas and Fabolous, old friends and collaborators alike. Even though Miguel is a newbie, he has an old soul and also doesn't chase trends himself. That's why the end result is what it is. Even though the sales are not what they should be, no reviewers, bloggers, etc. have accused her of pandering to a youth market. Grown, sexy, fully realized, coming from a place of real joy and pain. I'm proud to say that MIAM has remained my album of the year and I'm sure nothing will change that. These overseas concerts and holiday shows are crowning glory moments. I hope she basks in the glow of her accomplishments and is proud of what she has done, despite the personal tragedy of her marriage falling apart.

By the way--what was your screen name before? Most recently it was dumb s**t. This is a throwback to my original name OB. A quick entymology for those not in the know: I was originally Overloaded Breast, with pictures of different kinds of overloaded breast (i.e. Aretha Franklin, stuffed chicken with apple, etc.) I shortened it to OB and then, after becoming obsessed with Mushmouthiana's inability to say "babe" and also, keeping in trend with the kids today, I changed it to dumb s**t. Dumb s**t was two fold: a quote from Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" jam and also because....Ariana is stupid. I think my quote under the picture was: "Bae! Ohhhh BAE!!" (from the end of "Problem") so now I am taking it back to OB(ae!) Get it? LOL. Were you around for those fake lyrics to songs on Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel? Someone had posted that, in "The Impossible", Mariah says, "I love you like Overloaded Breast". Stuck with me ever since. Edit: My picture fits because Dandy and Twisty are BAE AND each others' baes. Ugh. I'm soo meta.

Time Out New York places "AIWFCIY" at #2 all-time for Christmas songs: āAll I Want for Christmas Is Youā by Mariah Carey Fifty million views on YouTube, 12 million copies sold, No. 1 on Billboardās Holiday Songs chartā¦ There are so many reasons to love āAll I Want for Christmas,ā from the songās solid-gold melody and retro soul arrangements to its overall festive sweetness. But the real reason, of course, is Mariah. Who can forget that 1994 videoāthe singer in a Santa suit frolicking in the snow like no star has frolicked before? Add to that her impeccable delivery, effortless high notes, megawatt smile and remarkable bosom, and friends, we have a classic.āSophie Harris www.timeout.com/newyork/music/the-50-christmas-songs-you-really-will-love?pageNumber=5

Mariah the megawatt smile and diva she really gave us a song that will stand the test of time!
It's so funny others say their diva is important and most influential and trailblazing and all that BUT.... Nobody has a song that has influenced so many artists to remake it and no song has stayed in the public limelight for so long and no song made as of now has the potential to keep on keeping on like "All I Want For Christmas"
That is based on facts not on signatures and stan silliness!
