People saying she was a mess. I didn't see it. Her voice was strong and clear. Only problem was, I think, with ear monitors. She was slightly behind music for a couple lines. That's probably the best she's sung it live in two years. Agreed. Some on the UKMix forum were saying it was just OK, but that performance is a solid B. The intro was great, and Mariah sounded good on the verses. She didn't go for the high notes, but I really didn't care and didn't expect her to. I'm much more happy that her tone and mid-range are stronger. |

It wasn't awful, but she clearly struggled... She looked great though, and she looked happy, and it was nice to hear her live... I give it a C+.

The only part I noticed a struggle on was the bridge other than that she did well in my books.

Well. I'm glad the expectations for her are high. I saw a few other mess vocal performances and they seemed happy!
I mean this shade free but when her C vocals are your A, I still think she winning.
I can't get over how well her boobs are sitting.

The performance was pretty decent. It was far from a mess considering how temperamental her voice tends to be. She apologized about last night and it's time to let that go. She salvaged the entire situation and delivered what she was supposed to deliver. On to the next.

It sounded a bit rough in spots, but what can ya do. Even the worst vocal performance couldn't take away from the tune's holiday-classic status.

Loved it.... It's a shame the crowd couldn't put down their phones and join in on the festiveness of the song... I mean I'd be dancing and singing along to the most successful Christmas song of all time.... The opening was amazing...

It wasn't bad at all and it sounds like she retained most of her vocal improvement from the tour. The only thing that I noticed was her not being able to hit some of the higher head voice notes and changing them to accommodate that, otherwise pretty good.

She never sounds good singing in the cold, and it probably wasn't rehearsed much (if at all). I feel like the first night of her Christmas show is going to be a wreck.

I love how full and rich she sounded in the intro- she was serving me Mariah Carey first album teas there... Clearly her voice is very delicate and the bitter cold is not easy for any singer. She looked happy and beautiful and gave an energetic performance! I didn't mind her dodging some of the notes, the song is upbeat enough for that not to be an issue.
2 weeks until I get to see my fave artist ever live at the Beacon Theatre, I know girl is going to BRING it!!

Live mic doesn't even sound that bad all things considered. Overall, I remember her performance of the same song being WAY worse last year.

I thought she sounded good but the missteps she did make were noticeable and not pleasant. But after hearing her butcher My All on that first tour date, I think I'm just thankful she can still sound THIS good.

I agree, I think she sounded good. I listened to the liv mic feed and wasn't even trippin that hard. And honestly, it's really hard to sing in the cold, so I think she did good under the cirucmstances.
She looked gorgeous, I loved her hair,make up and outfit.
I love how she switches up the intonation on "MY OWN" during her live performances of AIWFCIY.
