Only the #1s? She has 18 #1 hits. That's more #1 hits than 99.9% of acts have songs that could even be considered hits at all. Plenty of music for a full concert. She can't perform all the hits AND all the fan favorites. People were begging for "Emotions" for years, and she brought it back last year. People were begging for "Love Takes Time," "Someday," and "I Don't Wanna Cry," and she's bringing them back this year.

I definitely see her bunching a lot of these into medleys, as someone said. I also see her throwing in a bunch of MIAM tunes (my guesses are Cry and Thirsty), and the perennial standard "Shake it Off"
I personally and stanning for her to slap Can't Let Go and SIDE EFFECTS on, although I recognize she'd probably sing Prisoner before SE at this point.

This is very exciting news! I cannot wait to go see this show. She will finally sing ALL of the classics. I think this is the right direction for her! Remind people why they fell in love with you. However, it may be to her advantage to re-arrange some of those songs so that it isn't too demanding on her vocals. Who's who of the press will be there for opening night. Any obvious lip synching or big vocal mishaps will be highlight on the front page of every newspaper, blog and social media account ever created. The stakes are high, but I know she can deliver. #teamMimi!

I'm so excited about all of this! It's a good time to be a lamb.
I was actually listening to "I Don't Wanna Cry" and "Love Takes Time" a lot yesterday (which happens often). It's like a gift from God that will soon be performed again >:(

Very excited that she'll be doing some of her classics that she co-wrote with Walter A. They better put out a DVD or CD of the concert at some point!

The surprise thing was hilarious!
I'm happy she is performing songs like "I Don't Wanna Cry" and "Thank God I Found You". Beautiful melodies. I'm looking forward to hearing new music too.

Im So There !!!!!!!!!!! I cant wait for this Re-Release. #1's original Era was epic for that cover alone ...ya'll know how many times dudes..you know whatted on that cover!! lol I love that album cover! My favourite cover of hers by far. I wouldn't be surprised if she re-created the cover for the re-release, kind of like she re-created some of her photos on MOAIA.

just watched her on Ellen... LOVE, RESPECT her but wish she'd lose the dahling, diva, prom gown attitude and be more relatable. She will slay in Vegas!

Dahling, wishing for something that will never happen is not a productive way to spend one's time. Mariah has incorporated these mannerisms into her public persona for longer than I can remember. For the record, I can't relate to anyone as rich as Mariah.

fucking @ her dressing up in that sexy ass, tiny maid outfit and dusting the fan's TV. She looks great, and the "updated" version of a #1's tour seems like a fantastic idea. Considering songwriting (and the songs themselves, obviously), are such a huge part of her legacy, it seems like this a great way to put the focus on her classics.

My two favorite female artists in the same city? Yes!!! I am here for this. It sucked that her Christmas concert was across the country but Vegas is much closer me. I wonder if this means they'll be opening a Mariah store. :o

Mariah did the whole cutesy, girl-next-door thing for a while too, you know.

The only thing that should be relatable between us is taxes and if my social security check is going to come in in the future. Not about promiscuity and shaking haters off.

Surely someone is not in Messiah Carey's thread trying to bring up that awkward pasty girl with the guitar. Surely.

Call me when a Mary J Blige says Taylor influenced her to do country. ...or when the Aretha Franklins and Patti LaBelles of the industry are covering your classics instead of YouTube "celebrities". #lambilydahhhling

I personally think the diva attitude and the "dahlings" are hilarious. It's a core part of her persona I find endlessly entertaining and I'm sure she's not nearly as extreme in her private life. Not to mention she kinda has the right to act like that with all her achievements and whatnot. As long as she's not an outwardly mean person (read: cruel, not shady), I don't mind it one bit.
Regarding this Vegas residency, does this mean we're finally getting a live version of "Fantasy" with that GLORIOUS original chorus again? :'(

I'm excited to see what Mariah will do with the show now that she's going to have a big budget. The last time she had access to a big budget was with her Mimi tour. Mariah will now be able to showcase her songs in a dramatic way.

The Christmas shows give me hope though that this will be better though. ...and I fully expect lots of lipping. Don't most acts lip in Vegas? Even Céline who's famous for like not breathing for 6 months before an an awards show performance so her voice is in shape lips a good portion of her shows.
