Actually I don't like this at all.
Can't understand a word in the verses.
And the ending is not as epic as others made it sound. Just awkward notes all over the place.

I was so excited for the single, but after hearing the snippet, I must say it's a bit of a letdown :( I prefer Almost Home and many of the tracks on MIAMTEC. I enjoyed Triumphant more :( Hopefully this will grow on me the way TMB did.
Edit: Now that I've downloaded the track, I realize I really don't like the chorus. LIke the intro and a good chunk of the song, but can't say I love it. I don't see this being a hit... seems a bit dated for radio. I was really hoping for a Bruno Mars type of song / Meteorite / Obsessed / #Beautiful type of song that could be her back in the Top 40. Hopefully we'll get an album early next year with the new label that will be as tight as MIAM TEC. Still am enjoying that album and so glad she released it.

Kind of sounds like it belongs on MOAIA... Which is fine because I like that album. Don't see this being a hit though, but you never know! The production is dope, and so are the vocals. Hard to understand the versus, but they're definitely catchy! I like it, overall, but my expectations weren't too high, perhaps that's why.

I'm a little disappointed in the song but I think that lies in the fact that I was expecting a more pop leaning melody. Having said that, I do enjoy the song and I'll probably warm up to it once I forget about my prior expectations for it.

I went into the song with no expectations and definitely not expecting this epic and huge radio hit that will put her back on the top of the charts... All I was expecting was a solid quality song with the classic Mariah charm and thank God that's what I got. I live for this sound... Just laid back but fun and catchy. Something about the way she makes songs just slays me.

The chorus is great, and I love the vocals throughout. The intro and outro are also great. However, I'm not sure about the verses- they're hard to understand.
Overall, a very solid track. It doesn't seem like it'll be a hit though.

Sales bought tonight won't count for its first official week. I don't think sales will be significant enough over the course of this week to make any difference at all. It is not commercial enough to sell to anyone outside the lambily initially. |
