The new issue of Entertainment Weekly has a 4 page article where they rank Mariah's 18 #1 songs.
#1 is Fantasy.
#18 is TGIFY.

The first post-debut positive thing she's said about "Someday" since, ever? :'( Taking those comments into consideration, it is odd that, as previously mentioned, the Vegas performance is more album version than MTV Unplugged.

It's nice that she actually gives insight in the booklet as to why she dislikes Someday. I know she probably isn't permitted to re-do it now, but I would be very curious to hear how she would have the music arranged.

I was beyond thrilled to see I Don't Wanna Cry finally not get ranked near the bottom on one of those lists. It was nearly top 10! Emotions also made the top 5, just like it always deserves to. I was giving major side eye though to WBT all the way down at 8, below Someday and OSD. Seriously, I have no understanding of the Someday love. |

This is probably a dumb question but seeing the seating chart at the BBMAs made think of it. Obviously Nicki and Mariah had issues in the beginning of Idol and didn't become great friends after the show but was the relationship really that bad by the end of the season? I watched a few times and it didn't seem to be too awkward, although it was clear they were both avoiding direct contact with the other.

Random FYI: I've been abusing the Butterfly album so much this past month. What an indescribably glorious gift from heaven that album always is.
I have this recurring fantasy that she will one day do a tour called the Memoirs of an Imperfect Butterfly tour, where she just performs the entirety of Butterfly and MOAIA (aka her modern day Butterfly).

LBR here. Mariah will NOT be sitting in anybody's audience. She's too classy for that AND a damn legend. Christina never sits an the audience either...they don't have time to sit with lessors! Plus MC has a show later that night. She's going to perform and leave.
