why did Happy drop so hard? :/ It's only about 100k streams ahead of Dark Horse...unless the DH official video decreased a lot in streaming, it looks like Happy may not get to be the first song to be #1 on Streaming, Sales, and Radio at the same time :( (4/5/2014 will probably be Happy's last week at #1 in sales, it's decreasing pretty fast with AOM increasing very fast...

CMA impacted the sales last week so we're not really sure how much it actually sold.
Plus with the hot 100 gap between it and Derk Horse being unexpectedly larger, it must have sold a great deal more.

I don't think so...in the news articles every week it gives the CMA-affected sales figures...like when The Monster and Wrecking Ball dipped below 200k (maybe even below 150k if I'm not mistaken) despite having massive digital sales success at the time and that was the number given in the article (and it makes sense because The Monster surely would've dethroned Royals that week on the Hot 100)

Looks like Happy probably won't be able to top all three chart components :( unless it can get a boost on Streaming next week with DH falling significantly and if it can keep its sales lead over All of Me for one more week then it has a chance...Blurred Lines and Royals were also massive sales/radio hits that couldn't do it because Miley got in the f**king way (don't get me started on Thrift Shop not being #1 on streaming because of Harlem Shake)...I really want a song to be able to do it!!! It would be a very honorable achievement for a song!

Wayy off topic but the question just kinda floated in my mind, I Gotta Feeling was #1 for the year end in Canada in 2009 and then #10 for 2010, has any other song matched such a high year end peak (ruling out Candle in the Wind as it's sales were really just because so many people watched the event) apart from Just The Way You Are.

The week of March 28th, 1964, The Beatles set yet another record when "Twist And Shout" jumped from #7 to #3 on the Hot 100, giving them the #1, #2, #3 and #4 songs on the chart. As incredible and unprecedented as this was, the Beatles would soon even break this record.

When the Beatles made it in America, they set off a period of music called The British Invasion, where in the aftermath of all their success, other British groups and artists started to see success on the American charts as well. This was not an insignificant thing; prior to the Beatles, almost no British (or other foreign) artists had ever been able to "break through" on the American charts, and only a small number had ever managed to do so. You could count on your fingers the number of #1's by foreign artists that existed before 1964. But in the wake of the Beatles overwhelming success, American teens started to look for other pop music that came with a British accent. The week of March 28th 1964 became the first week that a British group besides the Beatles reached the Billboard top 10 when the Dave Clark Five hit #10 with their earlier British hit "Glad All Over".

And with that, the floodgates opened and many other English groups started to chart on the Hot 100, sometimes even keeping American artists who had previously had no trouble getting chart hits from getting any more.

The British Invasion was now truly underway.
