Apparently she will be on the Today Show on Friday. A snippet of the video will be played. Also she's co-hosting the American Top 40. I think this weekend.

Below an interesting read from October 2013 as well. Quite interesting to compare the initial plans with what we've had and where we are now From mstarz.com: Lady Gaga 'Artpop' Twitter Q&A Reveals 'Venus' Music Video Details, Electronic and Hip-Hop Sound of 'Applause' Album By Carolyn Menyes (c.menyes@gmail.com) | Oct 14, 2013 10:22 AM EDT Lady Gaga loves her some Twitter chats. Less than one month remains until her third studio album "Artpop" hits record store shelves and digital retailers. After unveiling her album cover, official tracklist and second single title, the "Applause" singer went on Twitter last night (Oct. 13) to answer more questions about the album from her dedicated Little Monsters fanbase. She dished about her favorite songs on the record, the sound of "Artpop" and what fans can expect from the "Venus" music video. Most excitingly, "Venus" is about to makes its worldly debut. Set to debut musically on Oct. 22, the music video will be the first in an "Artpop" cinematic trilogy, likened to Gaga's earlier music video efforts like "Telephone." When asked by @sweetm0nster if "Venus" would continue "Telephone," Gaga responded, "No ma'am it's the beginning of ARTPOP TRILOGY ENDINGS TO COME," implying that not only would there be three more singles from "Artpop" but that each music video will build upon an earlier one. Gaga also unveiled that English filmmaker Ruth Hogben would be directing the clip, and that the birth of the "Venus" music video would come after the single's Oct. 22 release date. Gaga also teased some about the sound and the meaning of her "Artpop" music. According to her, the tracklist was deliberate, placing lead single "Applause" at the end so she could perform the entire album in full during her tour next year. She revealed that she's "obsessed" with the whole album (unable to pick a favorite between "Sexxx Dreams," "Venus," "Dope," "G.U.Y." and "Artpop") and that she has a "very strong connection to this album." Most interestingly, Gaga revealed the sound of "Artpop," which will have a strong hip-hop influence -- featuring artists such as Twista, T.I. and R. Kelly -- and electronic vibes. "Gypsy is a ballad/electronic song. But there is a lot of hard funky midtempo + space rock electronica explosion of beats," she wrote. "I made a happy album with a lot of energy to pick up my spirits and keep my adrenaline pumping. MUSIC FOR MUSIC JUNKIES." Lady Gaga's album "Artpop" will be released Nov. 11. The album's second single, "Venus," will debut Oct. 22.

I am actually wondering if we have reverted back to the original plan now and what we are going to get is the trilogy with the single being one of the trilogy songs/videos that could stand alone. It would make sense because we have same venue, multiple clips of songs playing, and what looks like pretty different looks and feels for the costumes and looks we have seen so far.

Trilogy in one video? But could be split into 3 for youtube? Venus, G.U.Y. and...Aura? Swine? ???? PLEASE GAGA
I don't doubt G.U.Y. but Venus could be the single since she said she wants the era to play out as she originally planned...which had Venus as the second single.

I hope we get to see that trilogy. I hope we get the G.U.Y. video this week, it being the second video from the trilogy. Then Venus (already filmed) as the G.U.Y's prequel. And finally a fifth single which would close the trilogy.

Why lol? Why is she premiering her video on Dateline at 8pm on a Saturday night? Why? Just tweet the bitch on a Monday.
Also, if the video is premiering on TV, I'm guessing it's the length of one song. Just seems like now that we're 7 months since her last video, we should get more than a 4-5 minute video. Whatever, I'll take it.

Catering to an already dwindling fanbase by dropping it via twitter doesn't seem like such a smart move. She'll get more exposure to a broader audience that way. It's a smart move.

Premiering something at 8pm on a Saturday night on NBC is akin to not releasing it at all that day. Very bad move...it is the lowest rated night of television. If she were score it on Sunday night or on Wednesday night before one of the bigger shows, it would be a wiser move.

It also has to be a pretty tame video if it's being aired at 8 PM.

Opening for the tour June 26 - July 22. Interesting. Bold and interesting choice! I wish she had a bit more K-Pop fun in her own music/image right now.

"MANiCURE" and "Gypsy" are the remaining singles on the album. How does no one else see this?

"MANiCURE" and "Gypsy" are the remaining singles on the album. How does no one else see this? I think Gypsy was the only choice...but even then, waiting so long to release a single off the same album makes literally ZERO sense

Releasing "G.U.Y." isn't going to have that dramatic an effect on her career either way. Let's not get carried away.

It absolutely can. Bad single choices can ruin careers. She needs a good one right now.

I'm glad she's moving forward with SOMETHING! Unless the video is completely OUT OF THIS WORLD and gets the whole country talking, I don't see how this song could revive the album or be a huge radio hit. I hope it is though. Btw, I'm liking it more now that I'm listening to it more. When the album came out, it was a completely forgettable song to me.

I don't think it will matter much either way even though I agree bad singles can hurt a career. It will bomb, no one will care that much, but the real test will be when she offers up a new single from a new project.

"MANiCURE" and "Gypsy" are the remaining singles on the album. How does no one else see this? I'm with you on "Gypsy," clearly should be the next single. But LMAO at "Manicure" being a single. No way would that ever be a hit... ANYWHERE.

It absolutely can. Bad single choices can ruin careers. She needs a good one right now. Why are you so harsh and extreme? Matt was totally right, she was playing safe with "Applause" and "Do What U Want", "Gypsy" wouldn't do better that the latter. "G.U.Y." could flop big time and sure it'll affect her career but preparing for career funerals? Lmao.

How are the weird verses on Applause and the overly explict lyrics/rapist feature on DWUW safe?
