Don't mind me and my occasional rants about how stupid I think the #selfie song is...like it sounds more like a conversation between teenage sl*ts than an actual song... No slut shaming over here. Promote online Kindness.

JT's looking like he might have the next BIG HIT.
Wasn't expecting that.

The pre-impact-date airplay for Lopez's single is not promising.
Not many big gainers in the top 20.

Ugh both Avicii and Martin Garrix were gaining nicely for a while and now they both seem to have stalled...

JOHN LEGEND – All Of Me: 179.606 (+3.540) So is Happy past Blurred Lines now? I remember BL had 284.something on Mediabase but I'm not exactly sure if it had 284.000-284.373 or 284.374-284.999 Also wow @ DH still getting 1M+ updates just as we thought it was going to start dropping...I think it's a sure thing that All of Me will complete the 3 songs at 200M AI on Mediabase...IF ONLY Team would be released to Urban radio to give it a boost then we would surely have 4 songs up there! :(

Does Talk Dirty have any chance of getting into the top 5 on radio? Or will it never be able to pass Pompeii? It got a nice 2M update today but Pompeii is also still staying strong...

The Blurred Lines record is 284.411.
Unless a Pharrell sex scandal happens it will break it tomorrow.

The Blurred Lines record is 284.411. Unless a Pharrell sex scandal happens it will break it tomorrow. Even if a sex scandal does happen it will still break the record. The song is still getting 4M+ updates. There's no way that will become +0.037M or less overnight.

There's still 1/4 of the day left. If radio suddenly stopped playing it, it would lose 10 million AI from those 6 hours alone.

Why would the radio suddenly stop playing it so abruptly? Even when Kesha's "Die Young" was accused of disrespecting the families of the victims of the elementary school shooting in Connecticut sure there was a significant change in radio airplay for the song from then on but it still didn't take an instant nosedive in airplay (and even that was different, they wouldn't pull a non-offensive song like Happy from radio stations all of a sudden, even if he was involved in a sex scandal. Radio still played Chris Brown's music a lot after he beat the sh*t out of Rihanna, because his music doesn't have any connection with his actions). It's pretty much guaranteed that Happy will break the record tomorrow (and with a 3M+ update too, I think it will beat it by a longshot...probably pass 300M AI too).

I don't understand how they reach numbers like this, how can people still enjoy the song so consistently every day? I understand it's a multi format song but aren't people getting bored?

Not when stuff like this can happen 24hoursofhappiness.com/(As a side note, this site has a great chance of finally making Happy #1 on Streaming)

^ I really hope it does finally get to #1 on Streaming soon and by soon I mean in the next 2 weeks because after that it won't be #1 on Digital and therefore it will lose its chance of being #1 on all three chart components at once which I am pretty sure no song has ever done since the Streaming Songs chart started although a few songs like Thrift Shop, Blurred Lines and Royals came really close (and deserved to make it) but were blocked from #1 on Streaming because of, for the first one, a viral 30-second dance meme that somehow meant the song in the background of the viral dance meme was popular and for the other two Miley whoring out in her videos in a desperate attempt to get attention.

according to Kworb, #selfie is on the HAC format...lol that's so funny especially considering that songs like Holy Grail were never on it...because I'm sure adults would definitely rather listen to #selfie than a song from Jay-Z and JT, two artist who have had multiple smash hits on the HAC format...lolz (correct me if I'm wrong btw but I am fairly certain that HG was never added to HAC)
EDIT: never mind, I was mistaken and HG was actually BRIEFLY added to the format around October...but still there are quite a few songs that are more suitable for HAC than #selfie and never were added so yeah, I rest my case.

HAC has become (for the most part) an extension of CHR/POP. Radio (Clear Channel) has gotten lazy with their playlists.

17. IMAGINE DRAGONS – Demons: 71.778 (+0.435)
Wow, this isn't going down, is it? With 47 weeks on billboard, looks like Imagine Dragons will have their second consecutive 53-week charter.
Not to forget mentioning, Radioactive is still holding strong at 81 weeks.
