GME also got lucky that week between RITD and PRA in mid-2011...I was rooting for it to dethrone RITD while it still had a chance before PRA would take over...there were many such instances over the years of songs that managed to squeeze in 1 week at #1 among many weeks at #2 behind a massive smash (I wish Dynamite could've done it in 2010)...Roar kinda had the same thing when it was stuck behind BL, WB, and then Royals for like 6 or 7 weeks, even though it got 2 weeks at #1

14/20 songs losing AI. Where is all the new music?

I just can't at Yonka losing 35MM in 12 days. I don't recall a song recently losing 3MM+ daily for so many days, especially at this mid-level. (It's not like a 200MM+). Why the sudden collapse? It's not like Partition is picking up the slack or even close to it. I suppose it's just a weird situation where the late format (Pop) is completely collapsing at the same time as Urban/Rhythmic have their natural progressions. The late format (as we've seen with Pop hits on HAC/AC have some of decline tempered by those late formats). It's just odd to see such a big hit, take such a strange fall. I hope they have a multi-format song ready to push.

That's a pretty strong second-day for "Sing"- can't imagine the airplay promo for a release like this (i.e. not tied to a major event) was more than a day.

I was expecting partition to blow up but I think DIL will be the hit of the era.
Anyways songs with payola end up losing at that fast rate...who knows?

Partition is Currently #1 on Urban, so unless Rhythmic Picks up, its won't have a high peak.

They should release Blow next as that might get some POP airplay.

Dark Horse sold 138k the week before and if its sales are down 12 percent, it sold 123k last week. They need to get it together.

Aloe Blacc's "The Man" and DJ Snake & Lil Jon's "Turn Down for What" are both stationary at Nos. 6 and 7, respectively. They sold 106,000 (down 14 percent) and 96,000 (down less than 1 percent).

Luke Bryan's "Play It Again" reaches the top 10 for the first time, jumping 15-8 in its fourth week on the chart. It sold 88,000 downloads (up 40%). The singer performed the track on the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 6 — the final day of the SoundScan tracking week.

Bastille's "Pompeii" slides 8-9 with 85,000 (down 9 percent), and the Chainsmokers' "#SELFIE" dips 9-10 with 79,000 (down 14 percent).

Digital track sales this past week totaled 21.4 million downloads, down less than 1 percent compared with last week (21.5 million) and down 24 percent stacked next to the comparable week of 2013 (28.3 million). Year-to-date track sales are at 333.4 million,down 13 percent compared with the same total at this point last year (384.8 million).
