The whole EP is pretty week IMO. Nothing that hasn't been done to death already. It's a shame because he seems like a good kid, and a step up from the JBs of the world.

This is great! He's bringing that 90's throwback sound!!!!  That's what I thought too. It's so "Boys II Men." Austin isn't playing now that he is 18. I'm glad he is maturing his music this way. He needs to do that if he will make a real impact on Top 40 radio (by getting in to top 10), which he hasn't yet. I'd love this to be the first single from his full album that he said will be out this Fall. |

The production and songwriting is pretty good on "Say My Name", besides all the auto-tune. There are a lot of parts where it doesn't sound anything like him. He should stick to this direction on his album. It's a good sound for him.

They've tried everything under the sun with this kid. Pop songs, urban-leaning songs, boy band leftovers, generic EDM, radio deals, performance slots, endorsements, etc. It's just not working out.

Austin has talent, but he just hasn't had the right material to channel it with yet, I expect him to fully emerge as an adult, not during his teen years.
As for Becky, she's cute, but I would never say she's going to happen.
