Lifehouse also has a pair. And Train
So three in all
Imagine Dragons 4
But Imagine Dragons could be the first to have year old songs chart together
Not that this would be front page news or anything, just a little twist on a statistic

The Sing slayage is extremely puzzling.

Yeah I meant at the same time, when they were both on the hot 100. 16. AVICII – Wake Me Up: 66.726 (+ 0.101) Where is this gaining? lol. I never took WMU as a single that could spend a year on the hot 100 but it's only got 10 weeks left

Talk Dirty might outlast All of Me in sales...who knows, it might even get to #1! And I feel like it will peak at #2 on the Hot 100 either behind Happy or All of Me...and I'd like to see WMU and CS get one year on the chart (CS will definitely do it no doubt about that unless its airplay crashes suddenly like with Die Young.

WwLove went top 10 in Australia and it's having a second wind there. In Canada this is taking off too. In the US, this song is also surprising! +179 spins on Pop! PITBULL – Wild Wild Love f/GRL: 39.597 (+ 1.052) Keep rising Dale!

The 130.213 is the amount of radio audience impressions for that song in the past week (Monday 14-Sunday 20) as measured by Mediabase (not Nielsen), and the +(#) is the increase in AI from yesterday's update (which was for the audience measured from Sunday 13 to Saturday 19).

I was thinking "Happy" was coming for BL's wig for most wks at #1 this decade but AoM is climbing on airplay, still "Happy" leads in sales, I guess it may tie WFL or get 11 weeks at #1.

omg do you know where can you see the Hot 100 airplay year-end for 1995, I've been searching everywhere to find nothing, I guess "I Know" or "Kiss From A Rose" were #1 that year? since the mainstream top 40 and the H100 airplay were similar back then.

Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" was probably pretty close to being #1 year-end presumably as it debuted before Tik Tok and outlasted it on the Hot 100 as well if I'm not mistaken...I guess NYN's great longevity (60 weeks, August 2009-October 2010, pretty much the whole year and from December 2009 until summer 2010 it was in the top 25) wasn't enough for it to beat TT's massive sales/airplay during its 9 weeks at #1 and 20 total weeks in top ten...

And now, the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 singles charts of exactly 55, 50, 45, and 40 years ago this week.
April 27, 1959 (for week ending May 2, 1959)
TW LW WK 01 01 08 Come Softly To Me - The Fleetwoods (3 weeks at #1) 02 05 06 (Now and Then There's) A Fool Such As I - Elvis Presley 03 02 12 Venus - Frankie Avalon 04 03 11 Pink Shoe Laces - Dodie Stevens 05 07 08 Guitar Boogie Shuffle - The Virtues 06 13 07 The Happy Organ - Dave 'Baby' Cortez 07 04 05 I Need Your Love Tonight - Elvis Presley 08 11 06 Tell Him No - Travis & Bob 09 20 07 Sorry (I Ran All the Way Home) - The Impalas 10 17 05 Turn Me Loose - Fabian
May 2nd, 1964, the 5th and last week at #1 for "Can't Buy Me Love," also marked the end of the Beatles' incredible domination of the top of the Hot 100 in early 1964. Altogether, they had held the #1 spot for 14 consecutive weeks (from February to May), with three consecutive #1 songs; not to mention the numerous other songs they sent to the top 10 over the same 3-month period.
This was by no means the end of the Beatles. They were really just getting started and they would continue to be extremely popular and continue to top the singles and album charts for the next 6 years. But Beatlemania would never again reach the feverish pitch that it did during those first few months of 1964 when it managed to reach a level of fandom that very few artists before or since have ever been able to emulate.
May 2, 1964
TW LW WK 01 01 06 Can't Buy Me Love - The Beatles (5 weeks at #1) 02 04 12 Hello, Dolly! - Louis Armstrong 03 03 06 Do You Want To Know A Secret - The Beatles 04 07 05 Bits And Pieces - The Dave Clark Five 05 09 05 My Guy - Mary Wells 06 08 10 Don't Let The Rain Come Down (Crooked Little Man) - The Serendipity Singers 07 02 08 Twist And Shout - The Beatles 08 05 11 Suspicion - Terry Stafford 09 10 09 Dead Man's Curve - Jan & Dean 10 17 04 Ronnie - The 4 Seasons
May 3, 1969
TW LW WK 01 01 09 Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In (The Flesh Failures) - The 5th Dimension (4 weeks at #1) 02 03 08 It's Your Thing - The Isley Brothers 03 04 08 Hair - The Cowsills 04 02 10 You've Made Me So Very Happy - Blood, Sweat & Tears 05 05 10 Only The Strong Survive - Jerry Butler 06 08 08 Time Is Tight - Booker T. & The M.G.'s 07 10 07 Sweet Cherry Wine - Tommy James And The Shondells 08 13 09 Hawaii Five-O - The Ventures 09 16 04 The Boxer - Simon And Garfunkel 10 07 10 Galveston - Glen Campbell
Which artist would seem the least likely to do a remake of Little Eva's 1962 #1 song "The Loco-Motion" and take it to #1 on the Hot 100 again? Maybe early 70's hard rock group Grand Funk? No? Well, believe it or not, they did do a remake, and it did go all the way to #1 again on the Hot 100 the week of May 4th, 1974.
May 4, 1974
TW LW WK 01 04 09 The Loco-Motion - Grand Funk (1 week at #1) 02 01 10 TSOP (The Sound Of Philadelphia) - MFSB featuring The Three Degrees 03 02 12 Bennie And The Jets - Elton John 04 03 12 Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me - Gladys Knight & The Pips 05 08 08 Dancing Machine - The Jackson 5 06 19 04 The Streak - Ray Stevens 07 06 12 Hooked On A Feeling - Blue Swede 08 12 11 Tubular Bells - Mike Oldfield 09 13 08 The Show Must Go On - Three Dog Night 10 11 14 Just Don't Want To Be Lonely - The Main Ingredient

To me what is most interesting about Pharrell is that he was one of three dominating producers of the 2000s (I mean, as half of the Neptunes, he was HUGE): Then he basically disappeared... Why?
What was his last major hit before the dry-spell... Ludacris' #1 song, "Money Maker"? I recall that by the time Madonna's "Give It 2 Me" hit in 2008, he was being called "passé".

He didn't disappear he just didn't have any of his track released as singles for the majority besides Shakira Did It Again and Gloria Estefan Wepa for example. He also started working with a lot of underground artists to help develop them.

From a public perspective and a commercial standpoint, he vanished after 8 years of chart ubiquity. It is very rare in the history of recorded music to come back so hard after that.
The majority of his current success has a retro feel to it (Marvin for Blurred Lines, Chic for Get Lucky, Mayfield for Happy); Did any of his 2000s work have those elements? They always felt fairly 'of the moment' to me.

15. PARAMORE – Ain’t It Fun: 70.121 (+ 2.173) First 2mil+ update! Looks like this will definitely go top 10 in airplay and on the Hot 100. Hope it can manage top 5 on both too!

Til The Morning by Mary J Blige, Bridges and Let's Stay Together by Cee-Lo and My Life by Robin Thicke from the Despicable Me Soundtrack all had throwback elements. The whole retro revival phase didn't start until 2012 for him tho.

The majority of his current success has a retro feel to it (Marvin for Blurred Lines, Chic for Get Lucky, Mayfield for Happy); Did any of his 2000s work have those elements? They always felt fairly 'of the moment' to me. Til The Morning by Mary J Blige, Bridges and Let's Stay Together by Cee-Lo and My Life by Robin Thicke from the Despicable Me Soundtrack all had throwback elements. The whole retro revival phase didn't start until 2012 for him tho. Yes at you quoting "My Life". I live for that song.
