Clay Walker will soon be releasing his new single 'Rock the Radio' to radio, though I don't know when. Here's a clip of him performing it at the ACM All Star Jam 2014: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgTRxBvvV5YIt sounds really good - great for summer. Glad to hear new material as he's one of my favourite country artists.

I think so. Goodness knows why anyone bothers to sign with them. By the sound of it, they're tyrants.

He still on Curb/Sidewalk/Asphalt/Pavement/Storm Drain/Asylum/MCG/Bruc/Curb-has-way-too-many-divisions? Actually, he isn't (as far as I've been lead to believe). His 'option' ended. Just like LeAnn Rimes.

Clay probably won't be able to have much success the indie route (yeah yeah, I know Curb is technically "indie") but maybe he can partner up with or sign with some small indie label and at least be able to get some music out and maybe chart a couple more times.

He can go the same route Randy Rogers Band and Will Hoge have taken with Thirty Tigers and Crescendo for radio promo. He could also use Kobalt like Martina and Big+Rich and then partner with a New Revolution, Bigger Picture or RPMe for promo if he wants to hit major Billboard and Mediabase instead of Activator and Music Row.

I hope the single comes out soon. Does anyone have any guesses as to its impact date?

Was beginning to think he was never going to release anything new, but it's good to know that he's no longer with Curb so he should be able to find a way to get new music out, even if it isn't all that successful (not that it would be w/ Curb at the helm either). I remember at some point predicting that SWBLL would be his last major hit (after its follow-up fared only moderately well), and I'm still thinking that'll remain the case. Would be nice if he could still manage a few more modest chart entries though.
